Chapter 5

Mallory's POV

I had been staying with Zak for
a week when it finally started I knew about the spirits and attachments in his house and they finally noticed I was here. I look over at Zak sleeping next to me I curl up closer to him and try to go back to sleep when I feel a burning sensation on my side I clench my teeth and try not to make any noises Ness and I had watched Ghost Adventures a lot so there were a few things the two of us had learned. When Zak was scratched he never lost his composure or let it phase him so I was going to do the same thing I get up then silently walk in the bathroom turn on the light and stand in front of the mirror I take a deep breath then raise up my shirt and I see three red lines running down my side I had been scratched. I knew I would have to keep this to myself because I knew it would bother Zak if he found out about it but hopefully things wouldn't get any worse than this.

Kevin's POV

Ness and I had been on our honeymoon for a week and today she couldn't stop biting her nails or looking over at her phone I knew what the deal was she missed Mal and she wanted to talk to her again. I smile then reach over and hold her hand then she looks over at me "What's up Kev?" "You miss Mal you should call her I don't want a gloomy bride on our honeymoon." She smiles then kisses me and wraps her arms around my neck I kiss back and wrap my arms around her waist "Call Mal and we will continue this later." She smiles again then picks up her phone and walks away from me.

Vanessa's POV

I wait on Mallory to answer even though it has only been a week I really missed her finally she answers "Hey Ness how are you?" I smile when I hear her voice "I'm good the honeymoon is amazing Kevin and I are having a great time." "That's great I really miss you." "I miss you too Mal how are things with Zak in Vegas?" She's silent for a little while "Zak is great he's still amazing Aaron doesn't like me and I met Ashley she's really nice." I know there is more but she isn't telling me what it is "What's wrong Mal?" I hear her take a deep breath "I was scratched last night Ness." I was shocked I knew what went on in Zak's house this could mean some really bad things for al "I think you should tell Zak what happened." "I can't tell him Ness it would upset him and he's been afraid this would happen." "Zak will be more hurt if he has to find out about it himself." She lets out a sigh "Yeah you're right about this." "It will be fine Mal I know Zak loves you just tell him." "I will thanks Ness." We talk for a little while longer then we hang up I was concerned but I knew Zak would take care of it I just hope nothing bad happened to her.

Zak's POV

I wake up the next morning and look over at Mallory sleeping she looks so beautiful and peaceful I had been really busy this past week so I hadn't been the best boyfriend I wouldn't win any awards this year that's for sure. I start thinking about how much I had changed because of her she didn't force me it was all slow because I wanted to I jump a bit when I feel fingers running through my hair I look down and meet a pair of green eyes she smiles. "Morning Zakula." I smile then kiss her she kisses back and wraps her arms around my neck I get on top of her then start kissing down her neck and smile against her skin when I hear her moan she runs her fingertips down my shoulders and I pull off her shirt then throw it in the floor and get to as much of her skin as possible with my lips. This was still new for both of us but I enjoyed it just as much as she did I moan when her hand brushes against the front of my boxers.

Mallory's POV

I let out a sigh as I lay on Zak's chest he starts running his hand up and down my side now was just as good time as any to tell him I look over at him "Zak there's something I need to tell you." He looks at me "What's up sweetie?" I take a deep breath "I was scratched last night," I move his hand and show him the three red lines running down my side he stops then takes a deep breath and closes his eyes then a few minutes later he looks back at me "I'm sorry I was afraid this would happen to you are you okay?" I nod my head "Don't worry I can handle this just have to tough it out and be like you." "You don't have to be like me sweetie I know you are tough but I've been where you are I don't want you to do this alone I'm here for you." I take a deep breath as relief washes over me Zak took that a lot better than I thought he would.
