Chapter 29

Aaron's POV

I wasn't doing anything since it was another day off but I was ready for next week to get here we would be heading to Tennessee next week to visit the Bell Witch Cave I was looking forward to the location but I was surprised that Zak wanted to go home with her and see what her hometown was like. I didn't have a problem with it and Mal going with us would be a great way for us to spend time together and become better friends with each other I just hoped that Zak knew what he was doing by agreeing to go home with her all I knew was I definitely wanted to know how it went when he met her parents. I sigh and walk out of the house and get ready to go to Starbucks when I get a text from Zak I read it to myself "Bro I've got to talk to you about something meet me at the office tomorrow morning." I put my phone in my pocket and shrug it sounded like Zak had something serious going on I just hoped it wasn't to serious and that everything was okay I get in the car and head to Starbucks.

Vanessa's POV

I look through Mallory's side of the closet and sort through a vast sea of black clothing there were only a few splashes of color some red, a little blue, one spot of white and one green dress I look on the other side at what has to be Zak's side of the closet and the colors are the same on his side. I look over at Mal who is browsing through the clothes looking for something to wear I look back at Zak's clothes then I look at Mal again "You're turning into Zak." She looks at me "What do you mean by that?" "Both of you have the same color clothes you have skulls on shirts and on a dress plus I saw some of your jeans they look like Zak's." She shrugs "It's just clothes it isn't a big deal plus you know I love the color black and I wear it more than any other color." She was telling the truth black was her favorite color and she did wear it a lot I sigh then look at her "Okay fine pick something to wear and we can go eat." She nods her head I walk over to the mirror and look down at my blue dress a few minutes later Mal walks over to me in a red and black dress with a pair of black heels she looks at me "You look nice." I smile at my best friend "You look great Mal now let's see if the guys are ready."

Kevin's POV

I look up from playing with Mallory's puppy when Zak walks in and sits on the arm of his couch I look over at him "Is everything okay?" He looks at me "What's it like being married?" I walk over and sit down on the couch "Being married is great you get to be with the person you love for the rest of your life plus they are there for you whenever you need someone to talk to and they support and you're there for them." Zak nods his head we had gone through a lot together some bad things but in the end we were friends and he was the best man at my wedding I look over at him. "Look Zak just because you found a list of baby names and she told you that she did want kids once it doesn't mean you have to get married and start a family right away." He takes a deep breath "Yeah you're right pretty boy." I laugh "Glad we had this talk Ghostbuster." We hear voices coming into the room I look up as Vanessa walks in the room wearing a blue dress she looked amazing she walks over to me I wrap my arms around her waist "You look great." She smiles "Thank you." I smile back "Your welcome.

Zak's POV

That night when I get in bed Mal lays on my chest and lays one of her arms over my stomach I run my hand up and down her back and I look over at her "Tell me about your hometown." She nods and starts telling me about the town and as she's telling me about the town I realize how small it is. The elementary school where she attended was at one end of town and her old high school is about ten minutes out of town sitting in the middle of cornfields, she tells me the town has one grocery store two dollar stores and four restaurants one of them being a small barbecue place her world sounded a lot different from what I was used to after living in Vegas. The conversation goes to her family after that she tells me about what they are like I turn to ask her a question and notice that she fell asleep I smile and wrap my arms around her then pull the sheet and blanket over us I felt a little better and more prepared about going home with her now that I knew what it was going to be like. I was still a little nervous about meeting her family and that said a lot because I had gone up against demons and spirits with no nervousness at all.
