Chapter 37

Aaron's POV

Zak and I willingly follow Mallory around the park and I'm impressed that Zak is okay about not being the leader for once he seemed content to be following her and holding her hand we walk past tents and booths that are selling food I see one booth with chicken and another selling barbecue nachos I was loving her town so far. We keep walking then Mallory suddenly stops which causes Zak and I to bump into each other "Ah ha there you are I knew I would find you sooner or later!!." She walks off then comes back a few minutes later eating something Zak walks over to her and looks at her "What are you eating?" She looks up at him "Deep fried Oreos you want one?" He gives it a look then he picks one up and takes a bite out of it Mal looks at me "Want one?" I nod then grab one and take a bite and I'm amazed at how good these things taste. Mal was a really great person and I really had misjudged he when I first met her but I was happy that we were becoming better friends every day.

Mallory's POV

Zak and I leave Aaron to wonder by himself Zak takes my hand and we start walking away from the music coming from the different performers, the booths and all of the lights that are hanging throughout the park we keep walking and reach the lower end of the park where the playground is. Zak takes a seat on one of the faded benches and I sit down next to him "Thank you for coming here Zak I know it's a lot different from Vegas." He looks over at me "You don't have to thank me I wanted to do this with you I wanted you to have the chance to come back home yes it's different but this is you and a part of you I want to get to know I love seeing you this happy." I smile "I love you." "I love you too." I kiss him and wrap my arms around his neck Zak kisses back and pulls me in his lap I start kissing down his neck and sadly he stops me. I look at him and start running my fingers through his hair "The parade is tomorrow I plan on getting a whole bag of candy then tomorrow night the high school drama class will be perform I loved that teacher while I was in her class that woman is a saint so I'm not missing it." Zak laughs then nods "Parade then drama you have a deal." I grab some of his hair and give it a tug "Good." Then Zak continues where we left off.

Zak's POV

The next day is fun I watch Aaron and Mal catch candy and fight over a few pieces like kids I even catch a few pieces myself and stick them in my pocket after the parade there is a long line of traffic that must be the whole town apparently everyone comes out to watch this parade the three of us load up in the truck then go back to the truck so we can watch the drama performance. That night when we get there I follow Mallory to a bunch of benches we sit down and she holds my hand a few people walk by and she has a conversation with a few of them and she introduces me as her boyfriend I feel good when she calls me that this trip was going really well and I couldn't be happier with how things were going. The show starts I laugh at some of the songs and Mal does too we even end up singing some of the songs together sixteen songs later the show is over we get up and start walking around together while Aaron goes to visit some of the food tents Mallory looks over at me. "So how are you feeling about meeting my parents tomorrow?" I stop talking then take a deep breath then wrap my arms around her waist "I'm really nervous about what they are going to say to me for a lot of different reasons but I'm still going to love you no matter what they say" That part was true nothing would change how I felt about her.
