Chapter III - Memories

Kat's body was being drown in the water of the bath that she filled almost to the very top. She was enjoying the warmth of water that was just perfect for relaxing after a long day. Kat laughed as she listened to the playful arguing over the phone, she could hear her two high school peers arguing about who will talk to her. Even though it was Noctis's phone, Prompto still persistently wanted to hear Kat.

"Just one minute?" Prompto argued.

"Uh, fine..." With heavy heart, Noctis handed his phone to his blonde friend.

"Yes!" Prompto exclaimed as he placed Noctis's phone onto his ear. "Hey, Kitty!"

"Hey, Prom." Kat greeted back. "Did you managed to negotiate with the Prince?"

"Barely." Prompto sigh with relief. "Hey, did you see the pictures I sent you? What do you think?"

"I think you all look cute and brave, thanks to your professional photographing. " Kat complimented. "Besides, why are you four fighting wild animals?"

"Oh!" Prompto awkwardly exclaimed, followed by a nervous laugh. "Well..."

"Prompto broke the car!" Noctis voice was clearly heard from the other side making Kat's eyes wide with a shocked smile appearing on her face.

"You broke the car?!" Kat exclaimed and was already imagining Prompto frowning. "King Regis will be so pissed when he finds out."

"Please, don't tell him." Prompto pleaded innocently.

"Time's up!"

"Hey!"

Kat could hear the phone being taken away from Prompto's hand which caused him to frown in disappointment as Noctis took his own phone from him. Prompto's voice could be clearly heard as he was calling to Noctis while Noctis seemed to be getting some distance from the three boys.

"Hey, Kat." Noctis greeted her as it was his time to talk while getting some distance from his friends.

"Hey, Noct." Kat greeted back. "How's hunting?" She questioned.

"So far so good." He simply answered. "We needed to earn some Gil to pay for repairs. Cindy helped us up a bit."

"Cindy?" Kat repeated. "Oh, so that's the mechanic Prompto has took a picture off."

"Yeah, he got a crush on her." Kat slightly giggled at Noctis's statement. "She is the granddaughter of Cid, dad's old friend who doesn't seem to like me that much. That's why he made us go around hunting around the wasteland of Leide."

"That's good for you." Kat pointed out. "You need to build up some muscle for Lady Lunafreya." Kat joked.

"Ha-ha." Noctis sarcastically laughed. "Are you saying I have no muscles?"

"Well I never saw you naked."

"Do you want to see me naked?"

"Yes."

Silence filled the phone call from each side. Kat was literally thinking of drowning herself in the bath and dying there. Her cheeks were red like tomatoes and that redness started to cover her entire fair face. Noctis however, was in shock of what he asked her and what her answer was. He was mentally smacking himself in the head and yelling at himself for asking such a question. Both of them were red in the face on each side of the line.

"Pervert." Noctis found his voice and as cool as he could he filled that silence.

"I'm not a pervert if I'm honest." Now, Kat literally slapped her cheek while Noctis let out a surprised laugh.
