I'm sorry I haven't been updating lately, but to be honest: I had no Internet for like...5 days or so... And I've been feeling insecure lately, so yeah... I'll try to update every week.
Does love hurt?
From Kat's perspective, loving someone you can't have definitely brings a lot of emotional pain. At first it didn't hurt that much when he left. But now that she is so close to him, now that she has spent so many days with him, she was afraid of letting him go. She wanted to touch him. She wanted to kiss him. To feel the texture of his lips against hers. She wanted his arms around her, just like they were protectively holding her in Steyliff Grove. But he was an engaged man and still she couldn't help but to think of being intimate with him. Am I that desperate?
Kat knew his soul from inside out. She had her head lying on his board shoulder while he had his lying on top of hers. She did not dare to move. Not even when she had need to move her head into better position or adjust her legs. She wanted to stay in this position forever, close to him. Her soul danced with his. But not only with his. Her soul danced with all Kings of Lucis. She was connected spiritually with all of them. However, her soul was different with Noctis's. It held more emotion and strange need to be together.
Their three friends; Ignis Scientia, Gladiolus Amicitia and Prompto Argentum were all quite aware that two of them shared romantic feelings towards each other. They kept quiet about it thought. It was better when they didn't point it out. Noctis was aware that once they sail to Altissia, he will be with his fiancée and childhood friend. From there on, his feelings will no longer matter. And she will be just a friend, just a Necromancer, just one person in his life he will have to let go.
The closeness they shared in the backseat of the car soon disappeared when Ignis came to stop before Cape Caem. They were awoken from their sleep and forced to leave the car. The breeze mixed with scent of sea surrounded Kat and let her smile as she felt in entering her hair and making in dance in the air. Cindy took over the Mythril component and immediately went to hand it to her grandfather so they could finish fixing the boat. Just a day away and they will be on a boat to Altissia, capital of Accordo.
"Hey."
Prompto Argentum called out to his four friends. Kat knew him ever since high school, even middle school when Noctis told her about him. He was not always as skinny as he was now, but he was a boy with warm heart and filled with will to lighten up the mood. Photographing was his passion since he was young and never ceased to disappoint with the photos he managed to catch.
"Let's get a shot with the lighthouse!" He suggested. "Hair blowing in the breeze. We'll be seaside supermodels!"
"Seaside supermodels it is then." Noctis agreed without a second thought, laughing at the words he made up.
"Oh yeah! Seaside supermodels!"
The next moment came quite spontaneous. Gladiolus Amicitia and Kat shared a glance; is he for real with 'seaside supermodels' thing? Was their thought. They let out a small chuckle at each other before they followed Prompto towards the place he saw as the best spot for taking a photo. Prompto adjusted the camera closely to the ground, pointing it upward and making sure that the lighthouse was completely in its frame.
Prompto smiled before he sent the camera on a short countdown and jumped into the picture with his friends. Gladiolus had placed his hand over Kat while she stood in the middle of the photo with Noctis on her left. Ignis stood by Gladiolus side and Prompto jumped close to Noctis. The five of them smiled towards the camera before the flash went off and the pictures was taken.
