"We should be careful. Wherever we go, the empire seems to follow." Ignis commented as he sat behind the driver seat while Noctis was driving for a change.
Kat was comfortably sitting the backseat, for once not being squeezed uncomfortably as she always did between Noctis and Gladiolus. Not that she mind being close to that person. She observed the surrounding, seeing the sea and green terrain. Their eyes were set on the gate heading to Vesperpool, which for unknown reason, open up and gave them access to the tunnel.
"Wait, what happened to 'under imperial lockdown'?" Prompto wondered.
"They all but turned the key and left the gates open for us—as if awaiting our arrival." Ignis commented suspiciously.
"And if anyone's waiting for us, I bet it's that guy." Prompto's pointed out in displease.
"What guy?" Kat questioned, glancing at the boys for an answer.
"Chancellor Izunia." Kat's eyes wide at Ignis's answer.
"Izunia? Ardyn Izunia?" Now, it was their turn to give her a questioning look.
"You know him?" Noctis asked as he kept on glancing at her in the rear mirror.
"Of course." Kat stressed out. "I meet him at the signing ceremony. He offer to help me raise as a Necromancer and said he'll keep me safe from Niflheim." Kat answered.
"Why would he say that?" Prompto questioned, looking over his shoulder at her.
"I don't know..." Kat shrugged with her shoulders. "He might be Imperial Chancellor, but his allegiance don't lie with the Niflheim." Kat pointed out.
"Which means we need to be more careful around him." Ignis pointed out.
"Yes." Kat nodded and decided to change the topic. "Anyway, I suggest we head towards the Myrlwood to grab that royal arm while it's still daytime. I reckon you have all the other royal arms I told you about?" Kat questioned, looking at Noctis.
"Yep." Noctis nod. "This one was off the limits, but now we can go and get it."
"Great." Kat slightly exclaimed and looked at one road that led to forest once they exited the tunnel. "You can pull over there, that road leads to the Myrlwood."
Noctis did as he was told by Kat and pulled on the side of the road. The four of them, missing Gladiolus, made their way into Myrlwood. All four of them were cautious as they made their way inside. But thanks to Kat, they managed to get to the royal tomb without losing themselves in the jungle of the dungeon where many monsters lurk.
Twilight
"We are alive!" Prompto exclaimed as they exited the dungeon after acquiring the Star of the Rogue. "Let's celebrate by eating something dead!"
"Eating dead from my perspective doesn't seem tasty." Kat commented with disgust, glancing at Prompto with raised eyebrows.
"Sorry, Kat, sometimes I forget your 'dead' are not the same as my 'dead." Prompto sigh and Noctis let out a small laughed.
"As Gladio would say: That was bad and you should feel bad." Noctis joked.
"Right, Gladio..." Prompto let out a small sigh. "Wonder what he's up to right now."
