Through this hot (too hot for my taste) summer days I barely manage to get my hands on my laptop. I have wrote the story ahead before the summer started, but now when I read the chapters again, I am not quite happy how it turns out. So, I will try, by the next week to fix later chapters and hopefully publish them every week as I once said before.

Thank you all for reading this story and voting for it. I really appreciate it.

The journey to Gralea continued in silence. It seemed in the end that Biggs and Wedge were sent unconscious by, who they suspect, Ardyn. The ice inside the train almost melted away as they continued forth. Prompto was quieter than usual, even Noctis managed to notice how he seemed to be troubled by something in the back of his mind.

Gladiolus stared outside of the window and through the thick darkness, he could see the daemons wondering in the distance. Everything had went so wrong and now fear has been the only emotion everyone felt. Some less than the others, but it was always present.

"We should be drawing close to Gralea." Ignis commented, counting down the minutes in his head.

"I can't imagine what it'll be like." Gladiolus expressed his concern and by the scene of daemons dancing around the lands outside the train's windows only made him expect the worst of the worst.

"Swarming with daemons, but you know that." Noctis answered, his voice disappearing in a whisper as even he took notice of the daemons outside of moving train.

"Once we arrive, we'll make for the Keep." Noctis furrowed his eyebrows at his advisor that even without his eyesight, is still good in planning as he always was.

"The Keep?" Noctis questioned curiously.

"Zegnautus. An imperial mega fortress, said to be impregnable." Ignis informed him.

"With Kat and the Crystal inside it." Prompto added, his expressions downright depressing from his usual cheerfulness and brightness.

"What goes in, must come out." Gladiolus pointed out. "So, are we buying this story that the Crystal can purge daemons?" Gladiolus wondered.

"The proof is in the purging, but it does stand to reason." Ignis answered. "We've observed that as the nights have grown longer, the daemons hordes have grown stronger. If they are in fact averse to the Crystal's Light, it could save not only Lucis, but the world." Ignis pointed out.

"Huh..." Noctis let out small sigh. "Kat would probably know more."

"She never told anything about it?" Prompto wondered and Noctis shook his head.

"We never talked that much about the Crystal." Noctis answered.

The screeching of the train caught their attention immediately as they felt the speed slowing down to a complete stop.

"The hell?" Gladiolus furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and he could only think of the worst.

"What is it?" Ignis wondered.

"My guess? Something to sidetrack us." Troubled and irritated sigh left Gladiolus's lips.

Gladiolus made his way to get to the other compartment and Ignis and Prompto followed. Noctis felt his nerves already slowly breaking because of how many obstacles came into their way. Troubles and problems...

He followed after them, expecting to hear from Biggs and Wedge. However there was nothing but silence from the radios in the trains and all they could do was to inspect what is the cause of their stop.
