Kat inhaled large amount of breath as she finally exited out of the mine that was suffocating her from its stuffiness. She was not surprised to see the sun already raising from behind the hill. Sun shinned on her face and a smile appeared on her lips. A sound of phone ringing made her turn around and look at Noctis picking up his phone.
"Yeah?" Noctis answered and all eyes fell onto him as he talked to someone on the phone. "Just busy building my arsenal." Noctis's eyes fell onto Kat briefly. "Yeah, she's alright. And we know..." Kat crossed her arms, suspecting it was Cor speaking over the phone. Noctis listened some more to the person over the phone before he hung up.
"What's up?" Prompto wondered.
"People to see, bases to burn. Let's go see Monica at the outpost." Noctis answered.
Noctis eyes looked back from Prompto towards Kat and she just looked away. Small sigh left Noctis's lips before he started to walk away with his direction set towards Prairie Outpost where the Hunters were settled.
"Come to think of it, we did spy a large structure." Ignis commented.
"Yeah, hard to miss an ominous thing like that." Noctis replied.
"Ain't gonna be easy takin' down a whole structure." Gladio added.
"Can we really do this?" Prompto wondered, somehow anxious.
"The marshal believes we can, or he wouldn't have asked us. But first things first." Ignis eyes fell back onto Noctis.
"Right. Let's head back to outpost." Noctis nodded and his eyes fell onto Kat who walked behind him. "Will you be able to do this, Kat?" Kat gave him a sly look.
"You just found out I am a Necromancer and you ask me such a thing?" Kat furrowed her eyebrows at him.
"To be honest, I never saw you in action before." Noctis told her. "That in the mine was a nice show, but..." Noctis clicked with his tongue. "I never saw you fight."
"Gladio, back me up here!" Kat glanced at Gladiolus, waiting for him to support her since he taught her a few things about fighting.
"She can pack a punch alright." Gladiolus smirked and with a proud smile, Kat looked at Noctis.
"Then I'll just have to wait and see." Noctis replied, a grin playing on his lips.
The five of them made their way through the dusty path towards the Prairie Outpost where Monica awaited them. Monica informed them about the secret passage into the Niflheim base and gave them direction to the Norduscaer Blockade where Marshal Cor Leonis was awaiting them. Monica headed there before them and the five of them went there with the car, Regalia.
Ignis took the wheel, Prompto sat into passenger seat while Kat was sighing to herself. Gladiolus sat behind Prompto in the backseat and Kat sat next to him. She felt herself being squeezed between Gladiolus and Noctis once he took a seat next to her. As the two of them were making each other comfortable, hitting Kat's arms, she let out a sigh of frustration and elbowed both of them into their stomach. Noctis let out a loud groan, while Gladiolus only hissed since his abs were his shields.
"What was that for?" Noctis questioned her while he held his stomach.
"Just because you boys got broad shoulders doesn't mean you need to squeeze me in-between like a plush doll." Kat annoyingly commented.
"It's going to be a bit tight in the back now." Gladiolus commented, raising his arm on the rest behind the backseat to give some space to Kat. "Might as well get used to it."
"You can always sit onto Noctis's lap..." Prompto commented and he glanced at Noctis with a grin. "Right, Noct?"
"W-What?" Noctis stuttered, visible reddishness appearing on his cheeks. "Buzz off." He looked away, uncomfortably, but he was not the only one who was uncomfortable at the time.
