I'm sorry for my lack of updates, but I'm trying to write a decent ending. I don't know if I will be able to update next week since I have not yet written the next chapters. I may need some time until I put the pieces together.

"Gather strength, O Chosen."

Falling, but never crushing. Noctis felt himself drifting through gentle breeze that kept him safe from all the dangers in the world of Eos. His mind seemed for a moment at ease. His body was no longer in pain and no burden lied on his shoulders.

Slowly, he felt himself landing but never touching the ground. His eyes slowly opened and before him stood a God whose body was covered in armor and the levitating swords on his back represented long wings.

"The fate of this world falls to the King of Kings, His Providence consecrated in the divine Light of the Crystal. So it is ordained—the revelation of Bahamut."

The name of the God before him light a spark inside Noctis's mind and all the knowledge he possessed about the mighty God came passing through his head. The Draconian. God of the Gods. God of the Light. God who chose two mortals who became the first Lucian king and the first Oracle.

However, those thoughts did not concern him. What truly concerned him was where he is and what happened to his friends, are they alright, when will he see them again... so many thoughts, so many concerns came like burden once again on his shoulders.

"What is this place?"

Noctis spoke, but his lips did not move, instead all he spoke came like a thought through the air and Bahamut that held his levitating form on his hand, heard his question.

"The heart of the Crystal. Wherein lies the soul of the star, and it is in this place that the King will gain the power to fulfill his calling and grant Divine key to the Cage."

"Divine?!" Noctis's though slipped out of his mind. "Where is she? Where are Prompto and Ignis and Gladiolus?"

"They stand against the darkness and abide in hope, sustained by faith unfaltering that their King shall arise and bring deliverance. Divine stands as a Guardian of Light and ravages the Darkness with her own. By the covenants awakened, the Six have seen the coming of the prophesied hour—a time when the Crystal shall have shed the entirety of its Light unto the ring. Only then, once the sacred ting in replete, can the True King complete his ascension. And only by that Light can the Divine banish the immortal Accursed from the Cage and restore the Light to this world."

"Accursed?" Noctis furrowed his eyebrows at the God before him. "Who is the Accursed?"

"A man cursed with life eternal, whose immortality stems from the selfsame scourge that wrought the daemons. One so impure of body and soul was deemed unworthy of the Crystal's Light and forbidden to ascend. His mind twisted by spite and bent of revenge, the Usurper came to bring darkness down upon our world. Harbinger of Death locked the mortal soul of the Accursed into the Crystal, for it to never escape the eyes of the Dead. Only the True King, chosen by the Crystal and guarded by his forebears, can end the Accursed's madness and let him be banished forevermore by the touch of the Divine. Only at the throne can the Chosen grant the key to the Divine and let her soul purify the stain in the Light of the Crystal."

"Let her soul purify the stain".... those words kept on repeating inside his head and he did not know how to put those words correctly.

"Does it mean... she has to sacrifice herself?" Noctis's eyes could barely look into Bahamut's, because the fear of the answer was appearing in his eyes.
