Yawn left Kat's lips as she sorted out the documents Councilman and King Regis's right hand, Clarus Amicitia assigned for her. She looked down at her watch, seeing that it was two o'clock in the afternoon, which meant two hours away from the signing ceremony. Kat couldn't help herself but to feel somehow anxious. Maybe she was just nervous that Kingdom of Lucis and Niflheim Empire will finally live in peace and not constant war. But she just found it hard to believe there will actually be peace.

As Kat sorted the last of the documents to their rightful place, she turned on her black heels and went to walk outside of the office. She exited into the hallway of the palace and walked forwards. The labyrinth of the hallways in the palace became so familiar to her in last two years since she took the Special Education to become part of Royal Staff Office. There was no way now for her to get lose, not even is she tried.

"Glaive to command. Are you there captain? Urgent." Kat's eyes looked in the direction of the hallways that crossed with the hallway where she was as she heard familiar voice speaking in sternly tone. "Dammit, Drautos." Nyx Ulric passed before her eyes in rush.

"Nyx!"

Nyx stopped in his tracks as he heard female voice call out to him. He looked to his right and saw Kat walking towards him in quickened pace. Her heels echoed through the hallways as she did. Nyx couldn't help but for a moment admire how she could walk so quickly in heels without breaking her leg once.

"Kat." He spoke back as she reached him.

"Is something wrong?" Kat wondered, seeing it written on his face that something really wasn't as it should be.

"The Princess is missing." Nyx answered before he continued walking, causing Kat to snap out of shock that was for a moment keeping her in place.

"What?!" Kat exclaimed as she caught up to him and walked right beside him. "Lunafreya?"

"Yeah, Luche told me she wasn't with Niffs when they headed here." Nyx told her as he set his direction to the throne room where King Regis always is.

"What? What if they've done something to her?" Kat wondered in worry, but before he could answer, the voice coming from his earpiece got his attention.

"Jackpot, Nyx. There's a whole fleet of airships sitting at that spot." Another Glaive and good friend of Nyx, Pelna, informed him about the coordinates he sent him earlier.

"Niflheim." Nyx said bitterly.

"Niflheim? Niflheim what?" Kat questioning, keeping up with him with ease.

"Yup, and from the looks of it I'd say they're headed to war."

"Where's the captain?" Nyx questioned the Glaive over the earpiece.

"Should be at the Citadel."

"There's no answer on his frequency."

"I don't know, must have his hands full with the escort detail."

"Pelna, one last favor. I need you to prep the Glaive for action."

"What are you talking about? You wanna deploy without the captain's order?"

"Trust me. Just get it done." Nyx said before he disconnected from the conversation.

Two guards turned towards the sounds of hard boots and heels clicking on the ground. They saw Glaive, Nyx Ulric and member of Staff Office, Kat Caligo approaching them. Unsurely, they looked at each other before they looked at Kat who was gesturing for them to stand down. The guards stepped from their path and let them pass, leaving Nyx impressed.
