"I don't like this."
Prompto grumpily spoke in the backseat as he sat in between Noctis and Gladiolus. Kat let out a small laughed as she sat in the passenger seat with Iris in her lap. She looked briefly behind her to see Prompto with crossed arms, squeezed in between Gladiolus and Noctis who were both squeezed to the door with their arms resting on them.
"You shouldn't have said ladies' choice." Gladiolus murmured as he sat with unpleasant expression.
"She made me..." Prompto answered, frowning childishly.
The rest of the ride was not enjoyable for everyone. Kat enjoyed it mostly and was not bother by Iris sitting on her knees since she was quite light. Iris had her elbows resting on the door with wind in her hair. Ignis made sure to drive carefully and slowly, glancing at the rear window to see how the three boys in the back felt uncomfortable. Prompto mostly since he was suffocating in between Gladiolus and Noctis.
The moment they arrived to Cape Caem, Gladiolus and Noctis jumped of their seat, thanking the Gods that they finally arrived. Prompto took time, catching the air he was missing. Iris and Kat exited out and took a deep inhale of the fresh sea air. Hammerhead truck, the one that belongs to mechanic Cindy Aurum, was parked at the parking spot and in the distance they could see the owner waiting for them.
"Woah. Pretty impressive lighthouse." Gladiolus commented as he looked up in the sky at the lighthouse that seemed old, but still had its beauty and uniqueness.
"What say we head on up?" Prompto wondered as all six of them went to walk up the path where Cindy was waiting for them.
"Ought to be a nice view, it a bit blustery." Ignis commented.
Kat stared at the lighthouse for a moment as she walked. As much as she knew, King Regis had a boat underneath the lighthouse that he hasn't used for 30 years or so. Cid and Cindy were on it to fix it so it can run perfectly as it did before. It was their only way to reach Altissia.
"What's up?" Gladiolus greeted Cindy as they approached her.
"Knew it was y'all!" Cindy exclaimed with Southern accent. "Recognize the purr of that engine anywhere!"
"How's the boat?" Noctis wondered as they made their way towards the house on top of the hill.
"Paw-paw's tinkerin' away. Reckon he'll be tinkerin' for some time." Cindy answer, troubled by the sound of her voice.
"Trouble at sea?" Ignis questioned.
"Seen her share, by the looks of her. Some parts we can fix, other need repleacin'." Cindy answered.
"Can we help?" Kat wondered as she walked by her side.
"We've got couple hands on deck. Dustin an' Monica." Cindy answered, glancing at Kat. "Those two have been real swell. Managed to gather just about everything we need."
"You can depend on the Crownsguard." Ignis mentioned.
"Trouble is, they ain't had much luck findin' a certain somethin' by the name of 'mythril'. Apparently that stuff's hard to come by around these parts, least accodin' to the little fella from the city."
"Talcott?" Prompto's eyes lighten up as Cindy mentioned him.
"You betcha! Sharp as a tack, that one. Could tell y'all more about that stuff'n I could."
"We'll be sure to ask." Noctis said.
Noctis looked over his shoulder at Kat, but she wasn't there. For a small moment he panicked, but then he saw her in the corner of his eye making her way towards Jared's grave. Noctis separated from the group while they made their way towards Talcott who was waiting for them and Cindy made her way to the lighthouse. Noctis examined Kat as she stood before the grave with words of foreign language leaving her lips. He observed as she had her head slightly bowed and her hands were intertwined before her.
