Kat stared at the ceiling above her with a blank expression. She could hear nothing besides the loud voices of the Crystal. With Noctis wearing the Ring, the Kings were calling out to him loudly, knowing only then Noctis will be able to hear them. But to Kat, those voices were just annoying and felt like needles poking her brain.
Kat tried to reach Noctis, she tried to reach her friends, but the voices now have become so loud that she was not able to do anything. Before she kept quiet because she had the same wish as Ardyn; to bring Noctis to Gralea faster. But now, as she wished to hear his voice, feel his thoughts...she felt utterly hopeless.
"Ah..."
Gasp left her lips as the reality spoke. She pushed herself in a sitting position and found herself staring the mad eyes of a scientist. The man darkly stared at her with interest, his eyes looking at her up and down. Kat's eyes examined him for a moment and she saw something quite familiar inside of his eyes.
"The Chancellor said no one is allowed to put a hand on you..." The man commented as he stared at her. "But I can't help myself." He said and looked to his left. "Men! Take her!"
Kat furrowed her eyebrows and soon she saw two man approaching the cell she was kept inside. They unlocked it with keys and went to reach her. Kat immediately jumped to her feet and went to defend herself. But while she was focused on one, the other one grabbed her and she felt stinging pain in her neck.
Laugh left man's lips as he watched the young Divine fall limply in the hands of a minor scientist. He approached her and watched as she tried to keep her eyes open with all the strength that has not yet left her.
"You'll make a fine experiment."

With "help" of Ardyn, Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto had successfully found their way into Zegnautus Keep. When the freight car fell, it separated them from Noctis and with a lock on the Crystal, they were unable to use their weapons. However, as Ardyn came "bearing gifts" they managed to kill their way through the daemons that came their way.
Ignis was still having a hard time, but trying to relax in the darkness made him became one with it and he soon came to be able to hear the smallest of sounds. Prompto seemed to be afraid for Noctis wellbeing. Not knowing whatever he has made his way through Zegnautus Keep or not. They, of course hoped that Noctis is alright and that they will soon find him.
However, they were also focused on finding Kat. There was no sign of her and no word from Ardyn about her. Prompto was worried and so were the others but didn't show it as much as Prompto did. He wished that both of his high school friends are alright and that he will see them soon.
The atmosphere around them was filled with danger and it was telling them to be on high alert. That's why Prompto kept on looking over his shoulder to make sure no daemon would try and sneak up to them. But from too many times peaking over his shoulder, Prompto missed to see gates closing before him and he bumped into them when he turned back around.
"Prompto!"
Gladiolus turned back around and rushed towards Prompto who desperately tried to push the gates open.
"It won't budge." Prompto spoke and Gladiolus tried as well but it was unsuccessful.
"What's happening?" Ignis asked as he retraced his footsteps to the direction where he heard Gladiolus's voice.
"The gates closed. Prompto is on the other side." Gladiolus answered.
"You guys go ahead." Prompto told them, ignoring the fear of being alone shaking inside of him. "I'll find a way to get to you." Gladiolus looked skeptically at him.
