Tell me what you think of this story so far. Good or bad? :D
"And this is it?"
Noctis's eyes looked from the falling water towards his friends. They all stood watching after they took out a group of Shieldshears by the river.
"Guess so." Kat commented.
"I can see an entrance there." Prompto commented as he walked forwards to have a clear view of the gap behind the waterfall. "Yes. That entrance definitely say 'come in'."
"What do your powers say, Kat?"
Kat closed her eyes. She reached deeply within spectral dimension. She shifted through different souls that were within her. She could sense the souls that belonged to Noctis, Ignis, Prompto and Gladiolus. But as she went deeper, she could sense the souls of daemons and one particular soul they were searching for. Kat opened her eyes, breathe she seemed to be holding exiting her lips.
"They say the tomb is inside." Kat answered and stepped forwards. "Come on. I know the way to it."
The image of the path was memorized inside her mind. They walked behind the falling water and into the dark and cold cave. Kat held back a shiver and wrapped her bare arms around herself. She was in her tank top since she left her jacket in the car, thinking she won't be needing it. Small gasp left her lips as she felt something fall on her shoulders and she looked over her shoulder.
"We wouldn't want our Necromancer to shiver to death." Kat smiled at Ignis as he kindly burrowed his jacket, leaving him in long-sleeved dress shirt.
"Thank you."
Kat gave him a nod and put her arms into its sleeves, while Noctis observed her for a moment, but shook his head soon when he realized that there was no need for him to feel jealous at all. He was engaged to Lunafreya. He liked Lunafreya. Lunafreya was part of him ever since they met. Kat was his friend. Kat was the person who wants to be by his side when he becomes the King. There might be chemistry between the two, but they were both aware they couldn't have anything of it.
"Well, looking on the bright side..." Prompto started, nervousness shaking his voice as they walked away from entrance and deep into the cave. "Maybe the cold keeps the daemons at bay?" Prompto guessed with hope that he might be right.
"Yeah, because monsters like warmth." Gladiolus answered with clean sarcasm in it.
"Ah. Sarcasm." Prompto pointed out. "Hmm...But what if they're frozen?"
"Encased in ice..." Gladiolus commented. "Waiting for something warm to walk by."
"Geez, Gladio. " Kat let out a nervous sigh. "Isn't it enough I sensed hundreds of them?"
"What?!" Prompto jumped at the words Kat spoke. "You sense them?"
"Didn't I tell you daemons have souls too?" Kat questioned, trying to remember if she ever shared that information.
"Well...I just still don't know how your abilities work out..." Suddenly, daemons emerged from the dark sloppy portal on the ground. "And there's our warm welcome."
Flans emerged out from the ground and they went into the fight. Kat summoned her weapon from the fragments of souls and cut through them like a knife thought jelly. The five of them took them down and continued walking forwards into the cave. They arrived to the slippery path that lead down the path. Kat stopped and observed the path below.
"Heading down the slippery slope...in slip-sliding shoes." Prompto commented. "What could possibly go wrong?"
"Let's try and see." Kat giggled and stepped onto it, falling onto her back while sliding down. "Whooo-hooo!" Her voice echoed through the cave.
