Chapter X - Lestallum

I went out with friends recently and the performer started singing "Stand by me". I had to stop myself from singing so then I don't start crying. Final Fantasy XV, what have you done to me? :'''(

It was already late afternoon when Ignis was driving towards the town in Cleigne region, Lestallum. Noctis was asleep in his seat with head leaning against the door while Kat had sunk in the seat in between Noctis and Gladiolus with her head leaning against Noctis's shoulder. Her eyes were closed, but she was awake. All the driving actually started to make her feel asleep. All the trees they passed by, hypnotized her to sleep.

Prompto pointed the camera at the two of them and took a few pictures of them. Kat could hear Prompto taking pictures, but she wasn't aware he was taking pictures of her and Noctis. Gladiolus smirked at the two and looked back towards the road to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Prompto followed the direction he was looking at and widely smiled.

"Wow!"

Noctis's eyes wide open as sun hit his eyes. As he stirred, so did Kat. She opened her eyes and straighten herself up in the seat. Noctis looked around, his eyes sensitive to sunlight since he just woke up from a nap. Once his eyes adjusted to the bright light, he looked around to observe a town that was so different from Crown City.

"This place is pretty big." Noctis commented, yawning slightly.

"Haven't enjoyed the city life in a while." Gladiolus added.

"This place really breathes with different air." Kat smiled as she observed her surroundings.

Ignis parked the car at the parking spot and they all exited. The air was warm and they all took off their jacket because of it. Kat smiled with her eyes closed, enjoying the warm sun that was lowering hitting her face. The five of them observed their surrounding with smiles on their faces. The town was definitely different from the crowded Crown City that barely had anything with such an open and breathtaking view.

"She's at the Leville." Gladiolus informed them about Iris's location while looking at his phone. "Let's go."

The five of them made their way to Leville hotel. Kat listened to conversations of the crowd around her. Most of the people were commenting the tremors that had been happening lately. And soon, even they felt the tremor underneath their feet causing them to stop right before the Leville hotel.

"Whoa, did you feel that?" Prompto wondered.

"You mean the earthquake?" Gladiolus pointed out.

Kat looked down to the ground, feeling something divine moving in the atmosphere of balance. Kat close her eyes for a moment, searching through souls for an answer what could this divine aura be. But Kat had a thin connection with the souls at the moment, and they did not wish to give her answers to her questions. Noctis's gasp in pain made everyone's attention fall onto him while pained expression played on his face.

"What's wrong?" Ignis questioned.

"My head just started throbbing. "Noctis answered.

"You alright?" Prompto wondered.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

Throbbing? Earthquake? Kat thought inside her head as she suspected that this divine aura in the air was probably connected to Noctis, but couldn't say yet. They walked inside the Leville hotel and awaited Iris to come. They waited in the foyer while Gladiolus informed her that they have arrived. With a few more minutes passing by, Iris made her way down the stairs.
