"Oi!" Biggs shouted through the microphone louder then he actually intendent. "Uh...attention all passengers!" He informed the only four passengers on the train. "We're on our way to our final destination in the imperial capital. Enjoy the ride. I'll be in touch if anything comes up."
Prompto let out a small sigh, feeling a bit nervous about their destination. He didn't know what to expect in Gralea. His eyes were set outside of the window to see snow covering all the lands. He couldn't see far because of the white breeze in the air that clouded the view.
"Look at all that snow." Prompto quietly commented, feeling the coldness creeping in his bones. "Brrr!"
"We much be approaching the Glacian's cadaver." Ignis commented, presuming so.
"Won't be a blessing if all we got is a body." Gladiolus commented.
"Let us hope we pass through the gorge without incident." Ignis replied.
"It's what's after the gorge I'm worried about." Gladiolus added up.
"I just hope Kat's alright." Prompto spoke with worry and concern in his voice and Noctis looked at him as he sat with frowning expression. "Noct...." Prompto raised his head and looked towards the King. "Has she tried to reach you?"
Noctis let out a sigh. In his mind he has wondered hundreds of times why he can't hear her voice. She is a Divine now, stronger than a usual Necromancer. Knowing they are connected through the prophecy, he expected to hear from her in his head. But there was only silence. His mind was filled with his own voice, but there was no sound of hers.
"No." Noctis answered, fearing that because of her absence, something terrible must have happen to her.
"Oh..." Depressing silence appeared in their atmosphere.
"Come on, guys." Gladiolus spoke, his voice strong but filled with same emotion of concern as all of them have for Kat. "Kat is alright. Ardyn is just trying to play with our emotions."
"Yeah..." Prompto sigh. "You're right."
Silence once again covered the compartment. Gladiolus stared outside of the window as well as Noctis and Prompto did. Ignis sat quietly and tried not to get affected by the depressing aura that surrounded them. It seemed that the darkness outside of the window was affecting the atmosphere and brought depression into their hearts. Their only hope now was the Crystal and... Finding Kat.
However, as much as they hoped that their ride to Gralea would be smooth and less troubling, they had another thing coming. Prompto leaned onto the window with his eyes trying to uncover the mystery in the wind. Slowly as the train came closer and closer to a strange object hidden in the snowy wind, Prompto managed to figure out what the object is—or more precisely, who it is.
Shiva, the Glacian.
"Woah, guys, check it out!"
Prompto gestured them to get to the windows to see the extraordinary view of Shiva's enormous corpses. It was not something be fond of—seeing corpse of a Goddess—but it was definitely not something they could see every day.
"Why is the train slowing down?" Ignis suddenly questioned and their attention fell on him.
"No, it—"
Before Noctis could answer, even he felt a sudden decreasing of speed as they train tried to come to quick stop. The four of them held their balance by holding onto something that was near them. They felt the coldness increasing inside the train and not even the heater could change that cold temperature.
