Gentiana's gift that Ignis mentioned just seem to consider royal wear of a King and uniforms of Kingsglaive men. It fitted all of them just perfectly and for the first time; Noctis felt as if he was fit to be a King. He felt ready to what is has to be done for better future.

Their paths now lead them there where it all begun. Insomnia. Once a beautiful Crown City that has been traumatized by Niflheim's attack. Without the Wall Daemons have been destroying the city even more; buildings have crumbled down, blocking the streets and it was truly heartbreaking for Noctis to watch what has happen to his beautiful Insomnia within his absence.

"Kat didn't have much of influence here..."

Noctis found himself snapping out of his daze as he heard his bodyguard commenting. Unconsciously, Noctis looked around once again even though he had already scanned the area with his own crystal blue eyes. Daemons were running around the streets not too far from them and no Dark Knight was in their sight.

It didn't seem like Hecate has done anything here. Maybe she did, but the result was poor. Daemons occupying Insomnia as if they owned it.

"Did any survivors managed to get out of Insomnia?" Noctis wondered.

"Fewer." Ignis answered. "Insomnia suffered a Daemon attack right after we returned to Lucis. War between Dark Knights and Daemons occupied for the first time here in Insomnia. A few civilians managed to saved, but..." Sigh left Noctis lips and Ignis swallowed the words he wished to add.

Thank God for Hecate. He found himself whispering those words in the back of his head for who knows which time. Because of her and her love for Eos, Hecate saved many innocent lives and preserved their souls from becoming tainted with Daemon's stain. She gave light within people's soul and chased away the negativity that attracted Daemons.

Noctis felt thankful for everything she had done. And he would wish to tell her that but only when they meet face to face.

So deep in Insomnia, Noctis found no sign of Hecate. They put down every Daemon in their path and no Daemon, how big or small, represented an obstacle to the King and his fellow friends.

The four of them made their way through the streets of Insomnia, using a subway passage to get to the Citadel which was blocked by all the fallen walls that stood on the road. However, subway was not empty. Magitek Troopers, which had probably not been maintained for years, have roamed through the silent hallway. But they were no much the King and his Kingsglaive.

They were stronger now. Experienced and courageous. They were bent onto getting to the Citadel and nothing will stop them; especially not the King.

"There it is..."

Gate stood before the four companions. Gate to their goal.

"The Citadel." Prompto spoke in relief knowing they have finally arrived to their destination.

"Finally." Gladiolus spoke. "Let's get this over with." He added.

Noctis gripped the bars of the gate that stood before him and he pushed them with will within his eyes; he was ready to face Usurper once and for all.

At that moment, as they entered the grounds of Citadel with the building's front completely in their view; whispers of daemons and their presence seemed to completely disappear. Their footsteps against the solid ground were the only sound that was clear to them; other than that only silence surrounded them.

There was something in that silence, something strange and for a moment Noctis wished it was Kat that was finally coming. But the close Noctis and his friends walked to the stairs that lead to the entrance of the castle, the more Noctis realized that the strange presence within the air actually belonged to Ardyn Izunia. A troubled man whose soul is tore apart and separated between dimensions.
