Fireworks

Stephanous entered the great all and joined his pod of friends at their elongated table. He piled on the scrambled eggs and bacon and began digging in while his friends watched on. He finally realized they were all staring at him. He began to feel a bit uncomfortable at their stares and had to speak.

"What?" He said defensively with a mouthful of eggs.

"What did you dream about?" Isaian said finally while the others nodded their heads.

"Look guys I really don't want to talk about it." Stephanous groaned at remembering his horrid nightmare. "It was terrible and I really don't want to repeat it again. Will you be satisfied with the fact that Grand Master Donaldrid gave me an even stronger focus?"

"Look how beautiful and blue it is." Deedra said. Deedra found that she couldn't help but touch the mythril artifact. (Mythril was the second most sought after precious metal in all of Theara behind tenson.) "You hold a world of wealth around your neck Steph." She said in a hushed whisper almost as if the metal had mesmerized her. She held the trinket in her delicate hand as if she were handling a baby bird. She caressed the smooth surface with such grace and ease.

"I don't care what its worth as long as I stop having those nightmares." Stephanous said and he ended up telling them the entire dream to the pod anyway.

"My mozzer, zhe iz zuh zhaman in my willage." Terkesha started. "I vuz zupposed to take her plaze until the Dou-Jin arrifed and took me here. Let me look into your eyes Zteve iv you don't mind."

"Go ahead nothing else has been working." He said in a defeated tone.

Terkesha took Stephanous's face into her hands and gazed deeply into his lavender eyes. Her gaze went deeper and deeper which made Stephanous a little uncomfortable but he held still.

He had never stared into a girls eyes as long as he had Terkesha's in fact he had never gazed into anyone's eyes as long as he had hers. She just kept looking into his eyes without hers ever moving. There seemed to be staring through him and searching for something in particular, but Stephanous had no idea what could possibly be so special about him to cause her to gaze so long.

Lorianna crossed her arms in a jealous fashion and huffed out and exasperated puff of air. She saw how Terkesha was holding his face and noticed that she wasn't looking for anything spiritual. Terkesha just wanted an opportunity to hold Stephanous's face in her hands. Lorianna wanted to hold Stephanous's face in her hands and she wanted to kiss his lips and hold his hand and just be alone with him and talk and kiss some more.

Lorianna wanted to smack Terkesha upside the head for touching him. She wanted to beat Terkesha senseless, but she knew that wasn't possible because she saw how Terkesha could fight and Terkesha could mop up the floor with her. Lorianna deserved to be with Stephanous after all she had been the first one to speak to him.

"I zee you Ztevanouz." Terkesha said in a calm voice. "I zee your zoul. You are a wery proud boy and a vierze warrior. The road ahead uv you iz going to be villed wiz many terrible trialz, but you vill newer fail o vone uf zem. Your nightmarez vill pazz in time ond zuh men who are in zem will be deveated. Zat iz all I con tell you."

Terkesha released his face and she look as if she had run several miles in the heat of summer. Her chest was heaving and she was gulping down air. Sweat ran down her face and between her well developed breasts for a girl of fourteen. Stephanous found it hard to keep his eyes on her eyes and not on her chest.
