CHAPTER 3: GREAT HALL
Everything in the Hall was destroyed. Every white dress covered with dust and smoke.
“HEADCOUNT!” said Jess. “ALL ANGELS LINE UP.”
The angels organized in one line. Jess counted.
“My Queen,” King Zack said.
“They have ambushed us. It was a surprise attack. I didn’t see coming.” Queen Grains said.
“Do not blame yourself, my dear. The important thing is that no one is hurt and we have once again, defeated them.” King Zack took Queen Grains’ hand.
The Queen smiled and kissed the King on his cheek.
“Thank You. You are my strength. Without you, I would be none.”
The King smiled and brushed the Queen’s hair of off her face.
“KING! QUEEN!” Jess said.
“What is it?” the King asked.
“Lexi-” Jess stammered. “Sh- She’s gone. She’s not here. She’s the only one missing.”
