CHAPTER 39: SORROWS
“Grains,” the Goddess began.
“Will he ever remember?” the Queen asked.
“I’m afraid not.” She said. “Watch over your angels. This would be the last time this kind of stuff happens.”
“Why do you always do this?”
“They deserve it.”
“They don’t. You’re cruel.”
“Watch your words,” the Goddess said.
The Goddess then ascended back to the Skies.
Lexi fell to her knees. It felt like her world was going to crumble apart.
Kelsey and Jess hugged her as they tried to stop Lexi’s tears.
“Griffin,” she said. “He’s gone.”
The Queen flew away back to her throne.
“Grains,” Zack yelled.
“She’ll get over it. She’ll find someone else.”
The King followed the Queen to her throne.
“Lexi, you need to get yourself together.” Jess said.
Jacob reached out for Lexi’s cheeks and wiped her tears away.
“Come fly…um, walk with me,” said Jacob.
