CHAPTER 40: TWO YEARS LATER
Peace was once again in the Heavens. The Demons stayed right where they are and the King and Queen finally got married.
The Queen gave birth to a wonderful angel and named it Kayli. She was now the protector of the gates of Heaven.
The King held the Queen’s hand, “So…”
“So.” the Queen began, “What now?”
He laughed.
The King looked at her and reached out for her cheek.
His lips pressed into hers.
The Queen laughed, “Zack.” She began.
The King reached for another kiss.
“Mom! Dad!” Kayli yelled. “Mom! Dad!”
“Kayli,” the King said. “What?”
“I found this black feather at the gates.” Kayli said. “What is it? What is it?”
The Queen took the feather from Kayli’s hands. She smelled it.
Ashes.
She looked at the King, “Zack…”
The King took the feather from the Queen’s hands.
“Guard the gates!” the King ordered.
