Claire stood anxiously in line, bouncing impatiently on the ballet of her feet. She clutched a poster in her shaking hands, and the letters 'P' and 'E' were visible from its rolled-up position. The people around her were talking excitedly to each other, some shaking with nerves.
Slowly, the line advanced, and Claire's breathing hitched in her throat as she saw her five favorite people smiling and talking to their current fan. Her knees felt weak, and she shook even harder — it was so surreal seeing her idols right there in front of her.
Before she knew it, it was Claire's turn. Her mother followed her as she shakily walked up to Pentatonix, a nervous smile on her lips. "H-Hi," she stuttered, and Scott smiled kindly, looking down at her. "Hello. What's your name?" he asked gently. Claire forced back a squeak and smiled more calmly. "Claire," she said, composing herself. Mitch smiled, sharing a glance with Scott. "That's a nice name," he said, and Claire almost squeaked again at hearing his voice in person.
Claire's mother took the picture with Pentatonix, and afterwords she had time to talk to them a bit before she had to go. She was smiling the whole time, and when she finally had to let the next person go, every member hugged her.
Claire met up with her ((best, aviously)) friend in the arena where Pentatonix was having their concert. "How was it?" Ansley demanded, and Claire laughed breathlessly. "Oh my gosh, they're so perfect." Ansley grinned and nudged her. "Any cute scömìche moments?" Claire grinned back mischievously, her eyes sparkling. "I told them about you," she said slyly, and Ansley's eyes widened. "No! Claire, I told you not to," she groaned, but Claire just stick her tongue out at her friend. "I even forced them to read a few one-shots in my book of fluff. Scott said he thought he was adorable in 'Stare'. You're welcome." Ansley rolled her eyes. "I hate you."
"You love me."
"Fine." Ansley couldn't help but smile, shaking her head. "Whatever you say, Meatball."
Before they could say any more, the lights dimmed down, and it was time for the concert.
YOU ARE READING
the book of fluff (that usually isn't)
Fanfictionone-shots are cool because they're like books without the commitment so if you have commitment issues with books like me then this is the read for you. the most recent ones are much much better so pls read those first!! i apologize in advance
