Chapter 1

Clarke's pov
I breaks the glass of the window in the room I've been placed in and use it to open the door. Then I grab a glass shard and opens the door to Monty's room.
"Ah! What are you doing? I'll be contaminated." I girl yelled as I held the glass shard to the girl who was in Monty's rooms neck.
"Where's my friend?" I asked
"He's fine. You don't understand, okay? " she said
"Take me to him." I demanded
"Uhh! Clarke, you're bleeding." The girl said
"How do you know my name?" I asked
"It was on your chart." She responded
"How do they know my name?" I asked referring to the people who captured me.
" I don't know. Please don't hurt me." She said
"You want to live? Do exactly what I say." I said. The girl uses her keycard to access the elevator and she and I enter, Me still holding the glass shard to her throat.
"Which level? Who are you people? Answer me. How many of us are here? Where are they? Say something!"I said then I heard a voice from the elevator say "Arrived. Level 5." And we enter a room filled with people walking around and eating
"Where the hell am I?" I asked
Giselle's pov
Bellamy, Monroe, Sterling and I are hiding in the woods.
"Bellamy?" Monroe asked
"Get back down." Bellamy said
"You were followed?" Monroe asked
"Quiet. Have you seen Finn?" Bellamy asked. We had lost Finn in the foxholes and haven't been able to find him.
"Finn's alive?" Monroe asked
"He was. We got separated. We knew the fire was coming, so, we ran, but one of them followed. How'd you guys get out?" I asked
"We- we saw the Ark come down. we thought we'd come get help." Monroe said
"Follow me. Stay low and quiet." Bellamy said grabbing my hand, seeing the grounder with Finn and another one of the 100.
"I can't, I can't go anymore." One of the boys from the hundred that I didn't know said, being towed by a rope attached to a horse with the grounder on it.
"On your feet." The grounder said
"I can't."
"He can't keep up." Finn said
"I said, get on your feet. Get up." The grounder said pulling the boys up, once he realised the boy wouldn't be able to keep going he slits the Deliquent's throat, killing him. I squeezed Bellamy's hand.
"Uhh! No! Uhh! No!" Finn responded
"That's one. I lost three hundred." The grounder said . Taking off againg dragging Finn behind, we followed waiting for the right time to strike.
Octavia'a pov
"Stop stalling and pull it out. No warning? Nothing? I take it back. No warning is better." I say to Lincoln talking about the arrow in my leg.Lincoln yanks the arrow out.
"Ahh. Oh, my God." I say
"Poison." Lincoln said
"I'm guessing this means you don't have the antidote?" I asked
"No. I gave it to Raven to save Finn." Lincoln said
"So, we go back." I said
"It's too far." He said
"It's further to the sea." I responded
"Damn it" Lincoln said
"Lincoln, we are not going back to your village. You know what they to traitors. Death by a thousand cuts. Every single member of your clan will take a turn stabbing you, and then they'll feed you to the bugs. it's what you told me." I said
"Hey. I will be right back." Lincoln said
"Lincoln, where are you going?" I asked
"The antidote. It comes from the beetles that feed on the river moss. You're gonna feed on the beetles. It'll work." Lincoln said walking away.
Clarkes pov
"Dante Wallace. Oil paint. That's right. You're an artist, too." A man introduced himself
"Who told you that?" I asked
"Your people did. They also said you were their leader. Looks like you and I have a lot in common, kiddo." Dante said
"Where's my watch?" I asked
"I'm sorry, but we can't let contaminated items inside Mount Weather. We couldn't risk it. Our protocol is very strict, Clarke. We prioritize safety over sentimentality." Dante said
"How many of us did you capture?" I asked
'Fourty-eight. But, Clarke, you've got it wrong. You're not prisoners. We saved you" Dante said
"Well, in that case, you won't mind if we leave. If there are forty-eight of us here, we still have people out there." I said. Thinking about Giselle, Finn, raven and Bellamy.
"The patrol brought in everyone they could find." He said
"What about the Ark? It came down last night?" I said
"We saw it. There were multiple crash sites over a hundred square miles. If there were survivors, we will bring them in, too. You have my word." Dante said. I don't trust him.
"I want to see my people." I said
"Of course you do. I would, too." He said, then someone rolled in a cart of clothing.
"Change and meet me in the hall. Come on. Let's go. Let's give Clarke some privacy." Dante says as he exits. As soon as he left I walked over to the cart I take a high heal shoe and rip off the heal taking it as a weapon.
"Sorry about the noise. Hydroelectric power from Philpott Dam. Fresh water from our own underground reservoir. Fresh food from our hydroponic farm." Dante said as I exited the room
"I don't understand. You're on the ground. You know it's survivable. Why would you stay here?" I asked
"It's not survivable for us." He said
"The Grounders seem to have managed." I said
"Natural selection works. The Grounders who couldn't survive in the radiation didn't. Those who could pass on their DNA. For better or for worse, we never went through that process." Dante said
"Well, neither did we. We've been on the ground now for- Solar radiation." I said
"Very good. Your DNA ran through the same gauntlet as the Grounders. Only because radiation levels in space are even higher, your ability to metabolize that radiation is even stronger. Truth be told, our scientists were blown away by the efficiency of your systems. If not for that, your friends would still be upstairs in quarantine. Please." He said. I  move forward but Dante stops me.
"First, give me the heel." He said I hand him the heal unhappily
"You're not fighting for your life anymore, Clarke. You've made it. Welcome to Mount Weather." Dante said
"Arrived. Level 5." The elevator said
"Clarke." Jasper says approaching me and giving me a hug
"Hi. You're okay." Jasper said
"Hey." Monty said once jasper pulled away from the hug
"Hi. Finn, Giselle and Bellamy?" I asked
"Clarke, they- they didn't make it." Jasper said
"We don't know that. What about Raven?" I asked
"Welcome, Clarke. If you have any questions, I'm Keenan." A guy introduced himself. I didn't really care who he was, I just wanted to get out of here.
Giselle's pov
Bellamy is giving a pep talk while Monroe, him, me and Sterling watch Finn and The grounder in the distance.
"I know you're scared, but we are warriors. We can do this." Bellamy said still holding my hand.
"How?" Monroe asked
"We attack as a team. When he goes for me, Monroe and Giselle goes for Finn. Once he's free, it's five on one." Bellamy said
"Monroe can get Finn I'll help you" I said to Bellamy
"Giselle" Bellamy said sternly
"You're the one who told me to stay with you remember. I'm just doing what I'm told" I said.
"Now you decide to listen" Bellamy said
"Bellamy" I say
"Fine" he responds causing me to smile at him.
"What do I do?" Sterling asked
"Try not to die. Ready? One, two, three. Hey!" Bellamy said walking out with me only to realise Monroe and Sterling have stayed back.
"Cowards" I mumbled moving closer to Bellamy
" Giselle. Bellamy, get out of here!" Finn said
