Chapter 12

Monty's pov
"And you believe him?" I asked jasper.
"Yes, I believe him. Clarke left us, Monty. She faked being crazy to get into medical and she took off." Jasper said.
"We need to go after her." I said.
"Where you going?" Jasper asked
"The dropship for starters." I said as Maya enters the dorm.
"I just heard. You're leaving?" Maya says.
"Yes. We are." I said
"No. We're not." Jasper said
"What would Clarke do?" I asked.
"No, you can't. It's too dangerous." Maya said
"Don't worry. I'm a coward." Jasper said
"You're not. You're smart. You can't make her come back." Maya said
"Monty's right. She'd go after me. But why am I so scared to do the same thing?" Jasper said . An alarm goes off.
"Whoa. What... ? Radiation. There's a containment breach." Maya said
"But how?" Jasper said. Maya turns around her face is covered in blisters.
"I don't know!" Maya yelled then started to scream in pain
"What do we do?" I asked. Jasper and I  bang on the door.
"Help! Help! Help!" Jasper yelled
"Someone help! Somebody help!" I yelled.

Maya is lying in a hospital bed in quarantine. Dr. Tsing is monitoring her.
"Temperature's 104 and rising. Blood pressure 180 over 120. Blister coverage now 75%. Standard treatment isn't working." Dr. Tsing said
"Wait. What does that mean? Is there a non-standard treatment?" Jasper asked
"There is one thing we could try." Dr. Tsing said
"Then what are you waiting for?!" Jasper said
"It's... unorthodox. Because you were raised in space, your circulatory systems developed the ability to filter radiation out of your blood. Now it's just a theory, but if we were to circulate Maya's blood through your system..." Dr. Tsing said
"I could make her better." Jasper said
"What happens to him?" Monty asks
"I'm not sure." Dr. Tsing said
"I know that look. Don't even think about it. It's too dangerous." I said looking at jasper.
"I'm in." Jasper said

Bellamy's Pov
"Last time I saw you, you were closing the dropship door. It had to be done." I said
"Did you get any sleep?" Clarke asked
"It's ok. I'll sleep when we find Finn. You haven't seen him, Clarke. Losing you, the others, the war, it changed him. He executed the Grounder that drew us the map. Pulled the trigger without even blinking and walked away. The only reason Giselle went with them is because she's scared of what he will do." I said
"That doesn't sound like Finn." Clarke said
"No, it doesn't. I saw what he was capable of, and still I let him go with Murphy, Giselle and 2 automatic rifles." I said
"I'm sure that had to be done, too." Clarke said
"When we got back to the dropship and no one was there, we assumed it was the Grounders." I said
"Of course, you did. You couldn't have known it was the mountain men. No one could have." Clarke said.
"How long until chocolate cake turns into being hung upside down and drained for their blood?" I asked thinking about the people in mount weather.
"I don't know, but we don't have much time." Clarke said
"Ok. First, we find Finn, then our people in Mount Weather." I said
"And Lincoln. Think we've slept long enough." Octavia said

Giselle's pov
"What are you doing? This wasn't part of your plan." I said
"We're changing the plan. This is their food." Finn said. Finn throws a torch into the food, igniting it.
"Fire! Fire!" A grounder yells
"Distraction? Not bad." Murphy said
"That was all their food Finn" I said
"Let's go." Finn said
"We need to run!" Murphy said
"Can't. They'll kill our people." Finn said
"They'll kill us!" Murphy said Finn fires his gun wildly into the air.
"Who's in charge here?! I'll ask again. Who's in charge?" Finn yells.
"Our leader isn't here. You can deal with me." Nyko said
"Nobody has to get hurt. We just want our people back." Finn said.
"We don't have your people." Nyko said
"Then you won't mind if we look around." Finn said.

Cages pov.
"You see? I told you it got better. Your body's already craving it." I said. I shock Lincoln waiting for him to react.
"Now. 15 seconds. That's almost a record. This one's a thoroughbred. Up his dosage. Shock treatments every 2 hours. When he fears the tone, we move to phase 2." I said leaving the room.

Montys pov
Jasper and I are in a quarantine room with a still severly ill Maya. A machine beeps in the background.
"You sure about this? Look at her. I know you like her, but her blood is about to go into your body." I said. The beeping accelerates.
"What is it?! What's happening?!" Jasper asks Dr. Tsing
"We need to do this now." Dr. Tsing said.
"Jasper." I said
"I can't just let her die! Let's do this." Jasper said laying down on the hospital bed next to Maya's bed.
"This will sting a little." Dr. Tsing said putting a needle in Jaspers neck
"Ow! A little?!" Jasper said
"What is it? What's wrong?" I said noticing jasper face.
"Nothing. I feel nice." Jasper said
"Maya's been heavily sedated. You will, of course, feel that, too. It's perfectly normal." Dr. Tsing said
"If you've never done this before, how do you know?" I asked
"You're right. I should have said: It's to be expected. This will take a while. Why don't you head back to your room? I'll send for you once he's awake." Dr. Tsing said I look at her before I pull a chair next to Jasper and wait.

Ravens pov
Abby walks up to me. She's clearly angry about something as she slams a note down onto the table.
"Did you know about this?" She asked
"No." I said
"Tell me where they went and you won't be in trouble." Abby said
"Abby, I..." I said
"Someone let them through the fence. Someone gave them guns." She said.
"I don't know what you're talk..." I said before getting cut off by Abby slapping me.
"She thinks that because of what she's been through she's changed, but she's still just a kid." Abby said
"You're wrong, Abby. She stopped being a kid the day you sent her down here to die." I said

Marcus Kane's pov
"Stay sharp!" I said to my guard
"Yes, sir." He responded I throw my weapon to the ground.
"Sir, that's a bad idea." The guard says
"This is as far as you go." I said
"Sir?" He questioned
"If I'm wrong about this, only one of us has to die. Go home. That's an order." I said
"Yes, sir. " The guard says
""Your knife, too." The grounder Rivo says. I untie the grounder's hands and drop my knife.
"Let this be the first step toward peace." I said Rivo knocks Me out. I wake up in a cell.
I ahead to see a figure approaching me. The figure is revealed to be Jaha.
"So we meet again." Jaha says.
