Chapter 33

Abby's POV
I am still trying to get the beam off of Kane's leg.
"Don't move! Don't move!" I said
"Your femoral artery is lacerated. We need the beam it's the only thing keeping you alive." I said
"Hell of a bandage." Kane said
"We'll figure it out." I said
"Abby, just go find your daughter." Kane said
"If I can get a tourniquet around your leg, it buys us more time." I said
"Go find Clarke." Kane said
"She's not here! She's gone, Lexa too." I said. More rubble begins to fall burying both of us

Third person
"Lovejoy's keycard will get you into the armory. The guns are locked but the guard has the key I can lure him away" Maya said
"No there's no time. Once I get the guns how do I get them to level 5? They're watching every door." Bellamy said
"Maybe not, the mess hall has a trash chute." Maya said
"Trash chute?" Bellamy said
"There's one on every level. Best part there's no radiation alarms. hatches leak like crazy so they put in these airlocks just to be safe. You get the guns, I'll get them into the mess hall." Maya said
"You're a natural born revolutionary." Bellamy said
"My mom was a revolutionary, I'm just trying to do what's right." Maya said
"Be back here in 30 minutes." Bellamy said
Maya spots Cage Wallace and turns back but he notices her.
"Maya, we were just on our way to see you." Cage said
"How can I help you, Mr. President?" Maya said

Jaspers pov
They're gonna come in a lot harder next time you. You know that right?" miller asked
"We will hold the flood until we find a way out." I said
"We're gonna need more than a bucket of water and 4 guns to do that." Miller said.
"This is President Wallace talking to the kids who just killed 10 of my men."Cage said on the radio
"Jasper." Monty said
"I thought we'd try something a little different this time. There's only 20 minutes of oxygen in Maya's suit. I know she's a friend of yours. In 20 minutes you friend will either suffocate or burn. But you can save her, all you have to do is surrender." Cage said.

Octavias POV
the other seconds and I are still pinned down by the sniper
"We can't wait anymore, our people are dying down there." Atohl said
"If we can get to the crater, we can tunnel in from the side." I said
"There's no cover." Caris said
"I'll do it" Atohl said
"Any other bad ideas?" Caris said
"Just one." I said . I toss a bottle of alcohol towards a flame igniting it and blocking the view of the sniper
"Now what, Skygirl?" Caris said
"Now we dig. Stay down, stay down, stay down. Move in." I said

Jaspers pov
I have brought Maya into the mess hall.
"You're ok." I said
"Listen to me, Fox is ok. Bellamy saved her. He's gonna get some guns in here through the trash chute." Maya said
"If we can get guns in, we can get you out." I said
"No, we can't. I dismantled the chute. I'm sorry, I didn't think we'd be trying to open it ourselves. I can fix it." Monty said
"Thank you. Go help him. Harper! I won't let you die." I said directing the last part to maya.
"I won't let you surrender." Maya said.

Abby's pov
I am pinned under a rock
"Marcus?" I said. I use my flashlight to locate Kane
"Marcus. Marcus, wake up. Open your eyes. You have to wake up, Marcus open your eyes! Marcus think about Giselle she needs you! Open your eyes! " I said
"Oh I'm so cold." Kane said
"I'm right here. I'm right here." I said
"I'm ok." Kane said
"I'm sorry Marcus, I'm so sorry." I said
"It's not your fault, Abby" Kane said
"It is my fault. She's my daughter." I said
"What are you talking about?" Kane asked
"She knew." I said
"Clarke escaped before the attack. She knew it coming." Kane said in realisation
"Yes, how could she do something like this?" I asked
"Because she grew up on the Ark. She learned what to do from us."
"She could've stopped it."
"She made a choice. Like executing people for stealing medicine and food. Like sucking the air from the lungs of 300 parents so they could save their children."
"Like floating the man you love to save your people."
"Yes, we have to answer for our sins, Abby."
"After everything we've done, do we even deserve to survive?" I asked

Jaspers pov
"It's been 19 minutes." Harper said
"You're not helping, Harper." Maya said
"Don't worry, we'll get it open won't we Monty?" I said
"Hold on." Monty said
"Almost isn't good enough." Miller said
"Screw this." Monty said
"What the hell did you do?" Miller asked
"Cut power to the modem. Help me. We can't get leverage." Monty said
"There's someone in there." Harped
"Come in! Bellamy!" I said
"Get her in here! Come on! Come on!" Bellamy said
"Go! Go! Go!" I said we slide down the trash chute
"I've got you, I've got you." I said to Maya
"Decontamination complete. All clear." A female voice said
"Listen to me, Clarke is coming with an army of grounders." Bellamy said to me
"What?" I said
"We have to keep all of you safe until then." Bellamy said
"Don't tell me Finn finally got his peace talks." I said
"Something like that. Come on, we got a long way to go." Bellamy said

Clarkes pov
"So much for the element of surprise." Lexa said as gunshots get fired at us.
"I'll fire." Lincoln said
"No, I will." I said. I begin firing. Lincoln then also charges towards the sniper and they begin fighting. Lincoln is ready to stab him before Whitman uses a high-frequency tone generator, distracting Lincoln. Then holds a knife to Lincoln's throat
"Drop the weapon." Whitman said to me
"Just let him kill me then take him out. Clarke, please your people need you." Lincoln said
"You are my people." I said, shooting through Lincoln's shoulder to hit Whitman in the heart, killing him

Octavias pov
A horn is heard
"Lincoln, he did it." I said

Cages pov
"It's been 30 minutes, the girl should be dead by now." Emerson said
"Well Lieutenant, they've made their choice. Go in strong, take them all out again." I said
"Mr. President?" Emerson calls to me. I enter the mess hall to find it deserted.
"Find them." I said

Bellamy's pov
"It's all clear." I said
"Won't they see us?" Miller said
"Relax, Monty took out the cameras." I said
"Yeah well we're still sitting ducks in a group like this." Miller said
"Don't you ever have anything positive to say" Giselle asked miller.
"We're gonna split up." I said
"I dibs bellamy" Giselle said.
"No we do this together. We survive together." Monty said
"Bellamy's right." Jasper said
"They don't trust Maya anymore who's gonna help us now?" Miller said
"They are." I said looking at a large group of Mount Weather citizen
"We're gonna hide you. Not everyone here agrees with Cage, not by a long shot." Maya said
"Come with me. We'll divide you along the way." Mayas dad Vincent said
"You'll be ok." I said to everyone
"Let's go, you're safe now." Vincent said
"Hey we're coming with you." Jasper said
"No you're not. They still don't know I'm here and I need to keep it that way." I said
"So what do we do?" Monty said
"Stay alive, be ready to fight. War is coming." I said

Abby's pov
"Marcus. Marcus wake up! Wake up! Hold on! Hold on!" I said as I escape the rubble I'm under making my over to him to tie a tourniquet around his leg
"Marcus. Marcus. Do you hear that?" I said
"We've got two survivors. Abby! Kane! We'll get you out of here." I heard octavia say
"We're gonna be ok." I said. Kane is carried out on a stretcher, Octavia drapes a blanket over him. She then notices Lincoln and goes to embrace him
"Kane needs blood, right now." I said
"Slow down, you're bleeding. You need help too." Jackson said
"I'm fine."
"What happened here will not stand. The Mountain will fall, the dead will be avenged!" Lexa said coming back into camp with Clarke and Lincoln
"Enough, that's enough. There are still others in the wreckage. We heard them. Go to work!" I said
"With our two people working together, we're gonna win this war, Clarke." Lexa said "You're not ready." Nyko said to Indra
"I will not miss this fight. You have done well Octavia of the Skypeople, today you saved lives, tomorrow you will take them. Now get my gear, we leave with the commander" Indra said . Clarke walks over to Me
"How's Kane?" She asked
"He'll live. We could really use your help." I said
"Can't, we're leaving. I've arranged for a caravan to take you and wounded back to Camp Jaha. The sniper wasn't wearing a hazmat suit." Clarke said
"The marrow treatment works." I said
"They're gonna kill all my friends."
"Then you should hurry. I need you to do something for me, don't forget that we're the good guys."
"It's time." Lexa said interrupting us
"May we meet again." I said
