Chapter 28

Jaspers pov
"Monty's been missing for two days, Harper longer than that." I said
"We'll keep looking. We'll find them." Maya said
"We both know where they are."
"I checked the harvest chamber last night." Maya said
"So check it again. They took my best friend." I said
"All right. I'll check again. You have to look like there's nothing wrong like everything is okay." maya said
"Yeah..." I said
"Don't do anything stupid." Maya said
"It's okay. Everything is okay. Everything is...not okay.Time to do something stupid." I said once Maya left the room.

Third person
"Target acquired." One of the mountain men said seeing lexa and Clarke.
"The riders from Tondc got here fast." Emerson (a mountain man) said
"They're slowing down. Hell, I could make that shot." A mountain man said
"Check that. We'll wait." Emerson said
"Mom, why are we stopping?" Clarke asked Abby when they stopped
"You need to drink, too." Abby said
"I'm fine. We're almost home."
"Our scouts patrol these woods. Be careful where you shoot." Clarke said
"Yes, ma'am."
"The Grounders listen to you." Abby said to Clarke
"Lexa told them to. We shouldn't have stopped. Mount up! Mom, I need to get back to that radio to see if Bellamy has made contact." Clarke said
"Listen to me. I know you don't think you need my protection anymore, but you do. You have to trust that I know what's right for us." Abby said
"There's your shot. Cross wind--five knots." Emerson said one of the mountain men shoot but misses. Octavia eats Emerson and starts fighting him
"Finish it!" Indra said to octavia
"Octavia, no! He's from Mount Weather. We need to keep him alive. Check to see if he's got a patch kit. We've got to get him back to camp." Clarke said
"It burns! Please! Please!" Emerson screamed
"What is that?" Clarke asked
"Clarke, you and Lexa were the targets." Octavia said
"We have to warn the commander." Indra said

Bellamy's pov
I woke up in a cage with a grounder named Echo across from me talking
"I can't... I-- I don't understand you." I said
"Sky person?" Echo Spits out
"I take it no one has told you we're not enemies anymore. I need to get out of this cage." I said
"And then what?" Echo asked
"And then I'll kill everyone in this mountain." I said
"I came in here with a girl, have you see her?" I asked
"Two girls were brought in with you. The blonde or the brunette?" Echo asked
"Brunette" I said
"Over there" echo pointed to a cage three down from me. Thank god Giselle lay in there, still unconscious.

Jaspers pov
"President Wallace... Can we talk?" I asked
"What's on your mind, son?" President Wallace asked
"My friends."
"What about them?"
"Two of them are missing. One of them is Monty. Tell me where they are."I said "Jasper, I don't know what you're--"
"Stop lying." I said pulling out a sword.
"Excuse me?"
"You lied about there not being any survivors from the Ark. You lied about Maya's accident. I don't even know how many lies you told about Clarke."
"Please sit down, and we'll--"
"No! You're gonna tell me the truth." I said putting the sword against his throat
"Jasper, please put down the sword. "
"Why should I, so I can disappear next? Where are they?"
"I told you, I don't know what happened to your friends!"
"Do I look desperate to you? Because I'm feeling pretty desperate."
"You're right. I did lie to you about Clarke, about the survivors from the Ark, and about what happened to Maya. I'm trying to protect you, Jasper, all of you."
"Where are they? Where the hell is Monty?" I asked as President Wallace got the sword off me
"This is not a toy."
"Could you please find out where Dr. Tsing and my son are at the moment?" President Wallace asked the guard he buzzed in
"Let's take a walk."President Wallace said to me
"Where?"
"To find your friends."
