Chapter 40

Giselle's pov
"You're meant to be training with Lincoln" I said smiling as bellamy kissed down my neck.
"I'd rather stay in bed with you all day" Bellamy said smiling and kissing my lips.
"As nice as that sounds you have to go" I said pulling away from the kiss and getting off the bed.
"God you're so hot" bellamy said watching you walk over to the closet in your underwear.
"Go" I said smiling and throwing some pants at bellamy.
"Your lucky I love you" bellamy said
"I love you too. And the quicker you train the quicker you can come back and I can show you how much I love you" I said to bellamy as he put on his pants. He smiled and came over to kiss me again.

Bellamy's pov
"Quitting so soon?" Lincoln asked as I walked away from our training session
"Mapping run. Sector 7. Harper, let's get this over with. I have plans with Giselle" I said
"Can you to not keep it in your pants for one day" harped said as she tosses Lincoln a Guard jacket
"The Council wants you to have that." I said to Lincoln ignoring harder comment.
"I'm Trikru." Lincoln said
"A uniform doesn't change that. This is our home now, Lincoln. We fought for it. Too many of our friends died for it. On the Ark, the uniform meant something different. Down here, it means what we make it mean. Together. My sister will understand that eventually." I said
"Hey. Sector 7? That puts you right at the Ice Nation Border." Lincoln said
"I know." I said
"Just because Azgeda is part of the Commander's Coalition doesn't mean they respect the ceasefire. I should be on that scout." Lincoln said
"I wish. We all do. But until the Commander agrees to lift the kill order on you, you're more trouble than you're worth." I said. And walked to see Kane
"This is the first sleep the Chancellor's had in two days.' Kane said talking about the sleeping Abby on his couch
"I'll be quick, then. We're going into Sector 7. I think we should arm the entire unit." I said
"Permission granted. But the rules of engagement still apply, non lethal response." Kane said
"Copy that." I said
"Bellamy... There hasn't been an attack since Mount Weather. It's three months. Our people believe that this is real peace. Try not to screw that up." Kane said
"Yes, sir." I said
Abby's pov
"He's come a long way." I said
"It's a work in progress." Kane said
"Please your just being over protective of Giselle. She seems happy" I said
"Yeah she does." Kane said
"I was dreaming we were on the Ark. Before we sent the kids down. Maybe she's in Sector 7." I said talking about Clarke
"We could send out another search party." Kane said
"They wouldn't find her, not unless she's ready to be found.I have patients to see." I said

Bellamy's pov
"Monty, why aren't you ready?" I asked
"I am. He's not." Monty said pointing to where Jasper is lying on the ground under a table.
"What should we do?" Monty asked
"We should leave him this time." I said
"He's not getting better. Maya's death broke him. He needs this." Monty said
"Take an arm. Come on." I said. Monty and I lift Jasper up
"Zeke, I said produce first, art doesn't go bad." I heard Giselle say.
"Monty, he's all yours." I said handing jasper to monty. I walk over to Giselle and kiss her.
"Got you something" Giselle said handing me The Iliad
"You said your mom used to read this to you. I thought you'd like it." Giselle said
"I do. Thanks." I said
"Hey! Take it easy!" Raven said walking in the room
"Mornin' to you too." I said causing Giselle to laugh
"What's the point if we can't shoot 'em?" Miller asked
"We can. Just not to kill. That goes for everyone. Where's Octavia?" I asked
"We're going outside the wall. You honestly think she'd miss that?" Miller asked. Monty pours a bucket of water on Jasper's head
"Sorry, was that too cold?" Monty said. Jasper shoves Monty against the rover
"No gun for you, not until you're sober." I said
"Don't want one." Jasper said
"Let's do this." I said
"Be safe." Giselle said kissing me on the cheek and walking away
"She's too good for you." Raven said getting in the rover.
"Shut up." I said following her
"Careful. Monty might melt her." Jasper said as him, miller and monty got in the rover
"Enough. Raven... Take us out." I said. Octavia emerges on horseback
"Guess we found her." Miller said
"Try and keep up." Octavia said. Raven, Jasper, Monty, Miller and I drive the rover out of Arkadia. Jasper plugs his iPod into the rover's stereo. Everyone begins to sing along.
"A tracking beacon from the Ark." Monty said. We stop the rover and the music
"Hey, that was the best part." Jasper said referring to the song
"Who is that?" I asked
"Farm Station." Monty said
"After four months how?" Miller asked
"We'll find out. Where are they?" I asked. Octavia opens the door to the rover
"Don't tell me I missed the party." Octavia said
"Sector 8," Monty said
"That's Ice Nation." Miller said
"What about it? Protocol says we go home. Let the Chancellor decide what to do next." Octavia said
"Screw protocol. The Chancellor's not from Farm Station, Monty is so is Miller's boyfriend." I asked
"Let's do this." Monty said
"Try to keep up." I said to Octavia.

The rover has just driven to the border of Sector 8, Ice Nation territory. Octavia dismounts her horse and Monty, Miller, Raven and I exit the rover
"These woods must be the border." I said
"So, where's all the ice?" Jasper asked
"Much farther north, Azgeda stretches for 1,000 miles." Octavia said
"Good thing we only have to go 200 meters." Monty said
"Slow down. Remember rules of engagement are non-lethal force. Tight formation on my command. Raven, you stay in the rover." I said
"Yeah right." Raven said
"We need every gun we've got." Octavia said
"They're coming. 120 meters. 110. They're our people what are-?" Monty ssaid
"We hope they're our people. On my command." I said as Three Ice Nation Scouts arrive on horseback
"Ice Nation?" I asked
"Yes. White war paint. Stay calm." Octavia said
"Who are you?" An Ice Nation Scout asked
"Skaikru, looking for our people" Octavia said
"Looking for Wanheda" An Ice Nation Scout said
"Who's that?" I asked
"I don't know." Octavia said
"The light. That's the beacon." Monty said pointing to the beacon that An Ice Nation Scout had. Jasper crosses over towards the beacon
"What're you doing?" Raven asked
"It's ok I got this." Jasper said
"Tell them we observe the commander's truce, do it now!" I said to octavia
"This belongs to us." Jasper said grabbing the beacon, The Ice Nation Scout pulls a knife to his throat
"Where's Wanheda" An Ice Nation Scout shouted
"We don't know who that is. Please! We can help each other!" Octavia said. The ice nation scout cuts Jasper so Miller, Raven, and Monty all shoot the Ice Nation Scouts
"Hold your fire!" Bellamy said
"Jasper, get down!" Octavia said she throws a knife at the last remaining scout killing him instantly
"Rover 1, come in. Repeat, Rover 1, come in." Kane said over the radio
"What now?" I said
"Where are you?" Kane said
"I had him." Jasper said
"What the hell were you thinking?" Monty said
"We got the beacon didn't we?" Jasper said
"Yeah but where did they get it?" Monty said
"We had to shoot three Ice Nation Scouts. Culvert, Sector 4. Copy. Can you tell me what's going on?" I asked over the radio
"When you get here. Over and out." Kane said
"Sector 4? Why's Kane so far outside the wall?" Raven asked. Bellamy and Monty drive the rover before stopping and entering a tunnel
"You were right about Jasper. Okay? Is that what you want me to say?" Monty said
"Quiet. Keep your eyes peeled. I could've said no." I asked
"He's getting worse isn't he? I-I mean getting drunk every night is one thing but smiling with a knife to your throat? That's next level damage." Monty said. Kane and Indra emmerge
"This is about Clarke." Kane said
"What about her?" Bellamy asked
"She's being hunted." Indra said
"By who?" Monty asked
"By everyone." Indra said

Ravens pov
"Open the gate!" David miller said seeing us arrive
"Jasper's hurt. What took you so long?" Octavia said
"What happened?" Abby asked
"Ice Nation." Octavia said
"Get him to medical." Abby sis
"You want me to take 'em?" Octavia asked me referring to the horse I was sat on
"Uh, it's ok I'll bring her in." I said. Octavia walks off with the other horse
"You can't get down, can you?" Abby asked I shake my head.
"Ok. Come here. Ok" Abby said as she helps me off the horse
" Thanks." I said
"Raven-" Abby said
"I'm good." I said walking off with the horse.
"Raven" someone calls. I turn around to see Giselle
"Hey Giselle" I said
"What happened out there?" She asked
"Jasper was an idiot" I said
"Do you think he'll ever get better?" Giselle asked
"Would you?" I asked
"I don't know what I'd do if anything ever happened to bellamy." Giselle said
"You're lucky you've got him" I said
"I don't intend on ever losing him either" Giselle said.

Bellamy's pov
"Sir, we're almost out of range. Are you sure you don't want to tell the chancellor?" Monty asked
"I'm sure. I don't wanna worry Abby until we know something." Kane said
"We know there's a kill order. Your people are big on those." I said
"It's not a kill order. It's a bounty. Clarke's a symbol. She's known as Wanheda. The Commander of Death." Indra said
"The Ice Nation guys we killed asked about Wanheda. They're looking for Clarke, why?" I asked
"My people believe that when you kill someone you get their power. Kill Wanheda and you command death. What Clarke did at Mount Weather weakened her. The Ice Nation emboldened. Their Queen wants Clarke's power. If her people believe she has it, she'll break the Coalition and start a war. I can't let that happen." Indra said

Abby's pov
"You wanted to see me?" Lincoln asked
"Yes. I'm considering making another run to Mount Weather for medical supplies." I said
"You want my advice?" Lincoln asked
"That's why you're here." I said
"The last one just got back. If it looks like Skaikru is colonizing the mountain, the truce will break. And we'll be at war." Lincoln said then Jasper rushed out of medical
"Jasper, wait! He hasn't been discharged!" Jackson said
"I'm fine!" Jasper
"He's not fine" raven said
"Shut up, Raven!" Jasper said
"Ok, ok. Enough. If you promise to come back in the morning, I will examine you then. Okay?" I asked Jasper nodded
"You're just gonna let him go?" Raven asked
"That'll be all, Lincoln. Thank you." Lincoln walked away as did Jackson
"Abby, he had a knife to his throat and he smiled." Raven said
"I want to talk about you, Raven. How's your hip?" I asked
"You don't have a broken compressor, do you?" Raven said
"When did the pain start?" I asked
"After the explosion at the dam."
"Three months."
"It's nothing I can't handle."
"You're not handling it. You're lying. To your friends, you're lying to your doctor. You pushed Wick away because he was trying to help" I said
"Don't" raven said
"Raven you don't-"
"Fix yourself, Abby! Maybe if you weren't so busy being Chancellor and doctor to avoid your own pain you'd realize you suck at both jobs. And you suck at being Giselle's mum too. You still have a daughter stop avoiding her. Good talk." Raven said
