Chapter 30

Emersons pov
"Sir, you're too far... from the door, way too far." I said as cage came out to me.
"Just breathe. Don't worry about me." Cage said
"You did it, didn't you, sir? Huh? The marrow treatment, it worked." I said
"We did it, lieutenant.The ground is ours. The ground is ours." Cage said

Monty's pov
"We've been locked up for hours. If it was Bellamy--" miller said
"It was Bellamy. I'm telling you, he's here." Jasper said
"All right." Miller said
"It doesn't make any sense." Monty said
"I know what I saw." Jasper said as the door buzzed
"Not again." Fox said
"Back up, everyone. Back up. Move! Off to the sides. Get back." A guard said
"No. No!" Harper said as they grabbed her
"Hey, hey! Get off her!" Monty said
"No, not her. She needs more time to recover. This one." Dr. Tsing said
"Stop! You can't keep doing this to us. President Wallace said we could go." Jasper said
"That President Wallace is no longer in command. He had to step down for health reasons. I'm sorry it has to be like this. I hope you know you're all incredibly special to us." Dr. Tsing said
"Clear out. Go." A guard said.

Clarkes pov
"Has he checked in yet?" I asked
"No. You worried someone's gonna try and take a shot at you inside the Ark?" Raven said looking at Ryder, my current guard
"Lexa's orders." I said as Ryder left the room
"Whatever, Clarke." Raven said
"He's late. What if something's happened to him?" I said
"He'll be fine. You don't seem very concerned about Giselle. You know the girl that snuck out" raven said
"You've been busy. Why are you focusing on the dam? I told you acid fog was our priority." I said ignoring what she said about Giselle. Of course I'm worried about her but I'm worried about a lot of people.
"Until Bellamy gets eyes on their dispersal system, there's only so much I can do." Raven said
"Fine. Tell me about the dam. Can we cut off their power?" I asked
"Maybe. I'm still playing with a few things." Raven said
"How many of these have you made?" I asked talking about the high frequency tone generators
"Only two so far" raven said
"Two? That's not enough. There will be Reapers everywhere." I said
"High-frequency tone generators don't grow on trees, Clarke. Wick is scrounging for parts." Raven said
"Raven, I am about to leave for Tondc, where Lexa and the heads of all twelve Grounder clans are waiting for me to tell them we're a go, only we're not a go because they still have acid fog, and we only have two tone generators." I said.
"Hey. We'll be ready. We will." Raven said
"Ark Station, do you read me? Anybody there?" Bellamy said, on radio
"Bellamy, you're late. Every three hours means every three hours." I said
"Are you through?" Bellamy asked
"Have you found the source of the acid fog?" I asked
"No. That's gonna have to wait." I said
"What? No. Nothing is more important than that." I said
"Our friends are. They've started taking them from the dorm one at a time every few hours." Bellamy said
"Taking them where?" Raven asked
"I don't know. We tried to follow them, but they went to a classified level. Maya borrowed the schematics of the vent system from her boss, and I'm still trying to find a way in." Bellamy said
"I think I found a path, but it's gonna be tight. Here's the walkie Raven asked for and the earbud." Maya's voice said
"We're going to make him mobile so he can talk to us from anywhere." Raven said
"Bellamy, you have to find them." I said
"That's the plan." Bellamy said
"If you don't, all of this is for nothing." I said
"I'll be right back." I said to raven
"I thought you were going to Tondc?" Raven said
"Plans have changed. I'm staying here." I said
"The commander's expecting you." Kane said
"Our people inside Mount Weather are in trouble. I'm not going anywhere until I know they're okay." I said
"And what can you do for them from here?" Kane said
"You'll go to Tondc in my place. Lexa respects you. I'll get there soon as I can." I said
Clarke, being a good leader means knowing which battles to fight." Kane said
"And which to delegate. I know. Please, I need you to go to Tondc." I said
"Fine. I'll go." Kane said
"Thank you." I said
"What is it?" Abby said walking in the room
"Kane will explain." I said
"Perhaps your mother should go. She is still the chancellor after all." Kane said
"Which is why she's needed here." I said
"Heavy lies the crown." Kane said
"She shouldn't be wearing the crown, and you shouldn't be backing her up." Abby said
"What is that?" Kane asked pointing to my mums hands
"A note. Thelonious is gone. He told Sinclair to wait two days before giving that to us." Abby said
