Chapter 2

Octavia's pov
I scream and Lincoln runs towards me.
"Octavia. Octavia. What is it? Hey. What- what's wrong? What- Wait, wait, wait. Hey!" Lincoln said frantically
"I saw a man. It was- it was a- a monster." I said
"It's the poison. You're burning up. We have to hurry. I know what we have to do." Lincoln said lifting Me up.
"What are you doing? Where are we going?" I asked
"Just hold on." He said walking with me in his arms
Jaspers pov
Me and Monty are sitting in the mess hall eating food.
"You have to try this pie." I said. Monty then tries the pie.
"Oh, my God. What is it?" Monty's asked
"I don't know, but it's great. Mm. My turn." I said referring to the cake that's on his plate
"What, this? Nah. You won't like it. The pie's way better." Monty said
"Really? Okay." I said trying to reach for the cake but Monty keeps moving it
"Hey." Clarke says as she approaches us
"Clarke." I said
"Sit down and pretend you're happy to see me." She said
"We are happy to see you." I said
"You have to try the chocolate cake." Monty's said to Clarke
"Oh, it is so on." I said
"I'm not eating their food. Look. They gave us a map with no exits. I need you to tell me everything you've seen. Every room, every hallway, every way out." Clarke said
"Way out? Look around you, Clarke. There's no one hunting us here. First time in our lives we're not hungry. Why would we want to leave?" I asked
"Because we have friends out there who need our help." Clarke said
"They're looking for survivors, and they're way better equipped to find them than we are." I said
"This place is too good to be true." She said
"You're bumming me out. I'm gonna get some cake." I said I walk over in search of more cake but finds it's all gone. A girl sitting at a table slides her piece over to me.
"Take mine." She said
"Thanks. Jasper." I introduced myself
"Maya." She said as we shake hands.
"Cold hands." I said
"Low vitamin D. Unlike yours, which is off the charts, by the way." Maya responded
"Well. All right. I was excited. Mm. Oh." I said eating the cake
"No chocolate in space, huh?" Maya asked
"Space sucked. What's the deal with all this stuff, anyway?" I asked
"This is nothing. There's an entire warehouse with just paintings. President Wallace is the first to hang them up. Guess he figured just because we don't have windows doesn't mean we can't have a view." Maya said as Clarke makes her way over to the table.
"Hey. It's Maya, right? I just wanted to say sorry for this morning. I was scared and worried about my friends. I hope you can understand that." Clarke said before taking off
" I know she's intense, but Clarke's the only reason we survived." I said as maya looked around she turned to look back at me
"She took my key card." Maya said. Oh shit. We took off to find Clarke. When we find her She is approaching a lever that goes to the outside door and reaches to pull it.
"Clarke, no! If you pull that lever, these people will die. Even a little radiation can kill them." I said as Maya grabs a gun and points it at Clarke.
"Don't make me shoot you." Maya said
"Wait. Wait. Clarke. Don't do this." I said
"I don't believe them." Clarke said
"Why would they lie? Listen to me. We are safe here because of you. We're safe." I said
"Not all of us." Clarke said
"I'm the one that fired the rockets. Should I not have done that? Clarke, when you pulled that lever, you saved lives. Don't throw that away by pulling this one." I said
Giselle's pov
Finn, Bellamy and I are now all being lead by the grounder.
"You have to stand on your feet. He'll kill you if you don't." Finn said to me. All the sudden Monroe and Sterling run out from their hiding spot and begin attacking the grounder. They appear to be losing before the grounder falls over dead. The Ark survivors lead by Kane emmerge from the woods.
"Dad" I whisper to myself
"We're here now. Everything's gonna be okay." Kane said mainly looking at me. Kane inspects the grounders body, who he shot in the head.
"Don't stand up." Bellamy said to Finn
"I'm fine. We need to get back to the Dropship." Finn said as someone came to untie him.
"Hey. Where's Clarke? Is she all right?" Abby asked walking up to untie me
"She was when we left. We'll take you to her." Bellamy said to my mum. When I was finally untied I run straight to Kane.
"Dad" I said hugging him tightly. I have always been closer with my dad then my mum. He hugged me back.
"I'm here now, sweetie. Your okay" he said rubbing my back
"Go hug your mum" he whispered in my ear before letting me go. I smiled at him he smiled back. I went to my mum and hug her to.
"Hey mum" I said
"Hey my little Giselle" mum said before we pulled away
"Sinclair. We're splitting up. One guard detail comes with me to the Dropship. Everyone else here goes with you to Alpha Station. You have the coordinates. We'll follow - as soon as we can." Kane said
"Yes, sir." Sinclair responded
"Anything more from Jaha?" Kane asked
"No. Nothing in the past hour." Sinclair said
"Okay. You six with me. You three, lead the way." Kane said
"All right, let's go. Come on. We're on the move." Sinclair said to his group
Kane's group goes in one direction following Bellamy, Finn and I while Sinclair's goes in the other direction. Kane walks beside Abby. I still think my parents love each other. I just wish they'd show it.
Octavia's pov
"you know, you still haven't even told me where we're going." I said
"Can't you smell it? We're almost to the sea." Lincoln said
"No, I can't smell anything. Lincoln, I'm scared." I said
Giselles pov
Abby and some guards enter the dropship. Bellamy, Finn and I got asked to stay outside.
" We need a stretcher!" We heard an officer call walking out.
"Sir. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hey, hold it right there!" Another officer said as Finn went to go into dropship to raven
"Where is everyone?" I asked
"It was awful. There was hundreds of them and if it wasn't for Raven uhh- I don't know what happened. Bellamy. You're- you're alive. Aah!" Murphy said coming out of dropship Bellamy charges at Murphy and begins to attack him.
"You murdering son of a bitch!" Bellamy said
"Stop!" An officer says before He strikes Bellamy with electric baton.
"Bellamy" I yelled seeing him be shocked
"Place him under arrest." Kane said
"Dad" I said
"Wait. You don't understand. Murphy murdered two of our people. He shot another one. He tried to hang Bellamy. He used Giselle and jasper as hostages to get went he wanted." Finn said they were now putting Bellamy in cuffs
"I don't care. You are not animals. There are rules. Laws. You are not in control here anymore." Kane said then Raven was carried out of the dropship on a stretcher.
"Raven." Finn said
"She's lost a lot of blood. It's a miracle that she's still alive. There's no one else in there. Come on. Put her down over here." Abby said
"Are you okay?" I asked Bellamy. He nodded at me before turning to murphy and death glaring at him.
Octavia's pov
"Now sleep. Be back with the antidote as soon as I can." Lincoln said putting me down
"You brought me to your village?" I asked
" I won't let you die." He said
"Lincoln!" I said
"Hey, hey." He said comfortingly
"They'll kill you." I said
"Hey. Only if they catch me. Stay alive. And stay quiet." He said walking into his village.
