"An apology is a lovely perfume; it can transform the clumsiest moment into a gracious gift." ~Margaret Lee Runbeck

"F*cking Gabriel! F*ck him and his heartless soul!" I cried while sitting on the bench next to the pool. I couldn't help but cry my heart out. Everyone knew how talking about my family especially my Dad has a certain effect on me. What Gabriel did was inhumane and stupid.
I'm trying my hardest to calm down but it's really difficult and just my luck, it started raining after a bit.
I didn't stand up nor move a muscle. I still sat there, hugging my knees and crying as if it will make things better.
I was too occupied with sobbing that I didn't notice someone holding an umbrella for me. I looked at that person and saw Gabriel watching me while holding an umbrella.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, looking away and wiping my tears.
"I'm sorry," he said, sincerity was evident in his tone.
I looked at him in shock. "Are you seriously apologizing to me?" I asked, still wondering if I heard it right. He nodded as an answer. "Giving up?" I asked, smirking.
He rolled his eyes. "Damon asked me to in behalf of Bianca. He said I went too far." He shook his head. "And no, I'm never ever giving up. Just call this cease fire."
I rolled my eyes and replied, "Whatever." I sighed before looking at the pool. "What's happening inside?" I asked.
"Everything's back to normal," he casually answered.
I laughed bitterly. "Like nothing happened, huh?"
"Half of the people there are already drunk, so they forgot just like that," he answered, and I nodded, getting the point. "We should get you inside."
"And I'll be seen entering with you? No way!" I said, getting disgusted by the idea.
"Then do you want to stay here all night? Under the pouring rain?" he protested.
"It's better that way than being seen next to you," I answered.
He sighed. "I'll take you home then."
"No! I don't want to be in debt to you," I said, crossing my arms.
"Consider this as my way of apologizing," he said.
"No!" I disagreed, still not budging
He sighed. "Hold this," he said, handing the umbrella.
"Why?" I asked, grabbing it. He did not respond and instead, carried me bridal style. I was shocked and was about to drop the umbrella, but I held onto it tightly before I could let go of it.
"F*cking hell! Gabriel, put me down!" I squirmed but he didn't listen. He continued walking until we reached the parking lot. He had a hard time opening the passenger seat because he was carrying me, but he managed and placed me inside. He slammed the car door before getting in the driver's seat.
"I hate you," I muttered when he started the car.
"After carrying your heavy a*s and driving you home, you still have the audacity to say that," he countered.
"I didn't ask you to! You could leave me under the pouring rain for all I care!"
"I was trying to be nice for once, geez!"
"I don't want you to be nice!" I exclaimed.
He shook his head in disbelief. "You're unbelievable."
I groaned. "Why don't you just go back and sleep with your girlfriend? And sleep with her minions too while you're at it," I said, and he scoffed. "Did I lie? That's what you do, right?" I asked and he didn't answer. "Right! Because you're a f*cking manwhore!"
He stopped the car and faced me. He looked at me directly and inched his face closer to mine. I backed away, getting conscious. "Why do you always assume the worst of me?" he asked.
"Isn't that what enemies do?" I asked, looking away.
"This is the f*cking reason why I went too far! You're also saying things below the belt," he stated, sitting properly.
"At least, I didn't insult your family," I countered and that caught him off guard. I looked around and noticed that he stopped the car in front of my house. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that it stopped raining as well. Gabriel was still not talking, probably doesn't know what to respond. "You can insult me all you want. Call me a b*tch for all I care, but you do not insult my family. Thanks for the ride," I added before opening the car door and getting out of his car.
