"I'll miss my black hair. Curse you, Bianca!" I cried and Bianca laughed. We are at the salon to get our hair done. Yesterday, Bianca asked us to go to the salon because she wanted our high school hair back. Of course, we declined but Bianca wanted to feel like none of us left so we just had to give in to her request.
"Stop whining! You're not the one who has to do two braids at her wedding," Tori rolled her eyes. Tori just changed the way she styled her hair and due to Bianca's request, she has to braid her hair as she does them in high school.
"Any more complaints?" Khaila asked and none of us answered.
"Hey, I have a question. Why didn't you have a bridal shower?" Hope asked Bianca and all of us agreed to her.
"Damon doesn't want to have a stag party so being the good fiancée, I did not plan a bridal shower as well," she shrugged.
"Hey, Lia?" Tori called and I raised my eyebrows. Since I'm in front of the mirror, they can see my facial expressions even if they're behind me. Stella, Hope, and I are the ones getting our hair done and Tori, Khaila, and Bianca are getting their nails done. "How are you?"
"I'm okay. Why'd you ask?" I said, knitting my eyebrows in confusion.
"Well, the argument you had with Gabriel got pretty intense yesterday," she said and I chuckled.
"Gabriel doesn't affect me anymore, Tori. I actually had fun throwing him comebacks," I said.
"I don't believe that he doesn't affect you anymore," Khaila said, shaking her head.
"Why not?" Hope asked.
"Becau–"
"Because nothing! Let's just not talk about him, okay?" I said and Khaila and Bianca looked at each other like they caught a criminal in the act.
Well, Khaila isn't wrong though. Everytime I try to deny it, I'll still get affected by Gabriel.
"Fine. Here's a topic you'll like, what happened to you this past seven years? How did you become successful?" Stella asked. They became silent, waiting for my answer.
"Four years of Business school, two years of Fashion school and while I'm studying Fashion, I worked as an assistant to the tailor Raine and I saw. After fashion school, a designer hired me to be her assistant and then she helped me establish my own boutique. We've been open for a few months and the boutique is already doing great," I briefly explained and they nodded, seemed to be satisfied with my explanation. "My turn. Stella," I called.
"What?"
"When did Prince propose to you?"
"He proposed the other day which is why I haven't told you yet. I was about to announce the engagement after Bianca's wedding, but Bianca noticed the diamond ring on my finger and there's no point in lying so we told them."
"How did he propose?" Hope asked.
"Just like any casual Wednesday. We were sitting at the couch on his apartment and then he started saying, "You know, one of the worst events that has ever happened in my life was letting you go without doing anything. I can't believe I just let you go. For years, I felt like there was an empty feeling inside me. I wondered, if I told you that it'll be okay for me to wait for you without any communication or anything, would I feel full? Will the hole in my heart be filled? I haven't dated anyone because I know that you'll come back to me even if I don't know how the f*ck I'll be able to see you again. You don't know how thankful I am to Jaden and Krystal for leading you back to me and now, I don't want to lose you anymore." He took out a ring after that and there, we're engaged," she said and I saw Tori, Khaila, and Bianca mouth an 'aww'.
