"I love meeting new people; I think everyone has a story to tell. We should all listen sometimes." ~Kim Smith

"Lia!" my mom called from the kitchen. It's currently Sunday and I don't have much to do so I just laid on the couch and watched movies on Netflix.

"What?" I asked, pausing the movie.

"Come here," she commanded. I groaned before standing up and walking to the kitchen.

"What is it?" I asked while sitting on the barstool.

"Take this to our new neighbors across the street." She handed me the casserole dish filled with the food she prepared.

I opened the dish to peek at what she made, and I felt ecstatic when I saw it filled with my favorite 5-Cheese Marinara pasta.

"Nope. I'm not going to give this to them. I'm going to eat this by myself."

"Lianna!" My mom glared at me.

I pouted. "You saved some for me, right?"

"Of course. It's on the stove. We'll have it for dinner," she answered.

"You're the best, Mom." I gave her a thumbs up.

She chuckled. "Take that to them and befriend their daughter too."

"Will do," I said before walking out of the house, carrying the casserole dish in my hand.

The first thing I noticed when I reached their house were the boxes on their lawn. There are a lot and I mean, a lot. I then saw a blonde-haired girl about my age finding something on the boxes.

"I swear, Kitty if I don't find it, you are so dead!" she yelled.

"Uhmm... excuse me?" I approached her. She stiffened at first but eased when she saw me.

"Hi," she said, smiling.

"My mom wanted to give these to you and your family. Welcome to the neighborhood." I handed her the pasta.

"Thank you," she said.

"I'm Lianna by the way. I live across the street." I pointed our house.

"Krystal. Nice meeting you."

"You look really pretty," I complimented.

"Oh my gosh!" She chuckled. "You look very beautiful too."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Maybe you need glasses," I joked. Both of us laughed.

"Let's go. I'll introduce you to my mom and dad," she said, and I nodded before following her inside their house.

"I found your mermaid hairbrush. You can spare my life now," a little girl who looks exactly like Krystal said when we entered.

"I was planning on stealing yours but never mind," Krystal said.

The little girl glared at her. "You're so mean!"

"You're not so innocent yourself, Kit," Krystal countered.

"I'm in my room if you need me," the girl said before walking away.

Krystal laughed. "Your little sister's cute," I said.

"Stop lying, Lianna," she said before walking to the kitchen. I laughed before following her.

"Where are the other pots?" Krystal's mom asked when we entered their kitchen.
