"You love someone when you want to give them the best of what you have, and you decide to give them yourself." ~Octavian Paler

"What on earth is that?" Hope said as we heard trumpet noises.

We faced the entrance of the school and saw Prince's little brother blowing on the trumpet. "His royal highness would like to ask every maiden in this vicinity to try on this shoe," he read on a scroll and took out a clear blue shoe which resembled a glass slipper.

"What the hell's happening?" Stella asked. I shrugged in response.

Prince's brother asked each girl in the hallway to try the shoe. When the shoe fits, he would insist that it didn't. He walked up to me and let me try on the shoe. I wore the shoe and it fit perfectly but, of course, we have to act like it doesn't.

"No! Wait! Wait! It fits, okay? See." I acted like I'm having a hard time wearing it.

"The shoe has spoken. I'm sorry, m'lady," he replied and distanced the shoe from me.

My friends tried the shoe but it still didn't 'fit'.

"Has everyone tried the shoe already?" he asked.

"Stella hasn't tried it yet," Tori answered.

"No one else is here! Carry on! Chop! Chop!" I clapped my hand.

I bit on the inside of my cheeks to prevent myself from laughing. I really didn't know about Prince's plan but I just chose to ride with it.

Suddenly, we heard the sound of a horse shoe. We saw Prince coming in the school riding a horse. I am not kidding when I said he's riding a real horse! Everyone was surprised, of course.

"Hold up! I believe there's still a fair maiden who hasn't tried the shoe." He got down from his horse. He grabbed the shoe from his brother and walked towards Stella.

"May I?" he asked Stella. Stella didn't reply because she's still shocked. He crouched down and helped her wear the shoe. "It fits." He stood up and held Stella's hand. "Miss, would you accompany me to the Senior Year Prom?" he asked and all of us were in awe.

"Oh, my gosh! Yes, Prince! Yes!" Stella said and she hugged him. All of us cheered for them but it was interrupted when the school bell rang and as swift as the wind, everybody went to their respective classes.

"That was cool," someone said from beside me. I glanced at who it was and saw Gabriel. He held my hand and walked me to class. "So, Crabby, what would you be wearing to prom? I want your dress to match my suit," he said.

I scoffed. I couldn't believe this man. Was that his promposal?

I stopped walking and made him face me. "Gabriel, just because you're my boyfriend, doesn't mean you'll be excused in giving me a decent promposal."

He furrowed his eyebrows. "Do I really have to?"

"Yes!" I answered before letting go of his hand. I, then took my phone out of my pocket.

I made a tweet saying that anyone and I mean, anyone can ask me to prom. After that, I placed the phone back in my pocket.

Gabriel took out his phone and read my tweet. "Wait! Are you serious?" he asked.

I crossed my arms. "Of course, I'm serious."
