"Lia, get the door!" yelled my mom as we heard three knocks on our front door. I groaned before standing up and walking to the door.
When I opened the door, I was surprised when tiny arms wrapped around my waist. I looked down and saw little Krissa giving me a hug. "Auntie Lia!"
"Hi, baby," I greeted her back. I looked up and there I saw a smiling Krystal and Jaden. I carried Krissa and told them to enter. I pointed them to the couch and they sat there.
"What made you visit on this fine day?" I asked, putting on a British accent.
"Krissa wants to help you pack, " Krystal answered.
"Pack? I'm not leaving yet, " I said and they looked at each other with shocked faces.
"But we thought–"
"Oh! I knew I forgot something. I'm gonna extend my stay, " I said, cutting Jaden.
"Aww... We already booked tickets for tomorrow because we thought we're all going back tomorrow, " Krystal said.
"I'll be back in three days. Don't worry, " I said and they nodded.
"Well, since you're not flying tomorrow. Let's go out, " Jaden said.
"That sounded so wrong in so many levels, " I said and Krystal and I laughed. "Sure. I'll just change into something decent. Be right back, " I said before setting Krissa down and running to my room.

"Why didn't you go home for–how many years? Two? Three?" Jaden asked. I know he's been wanting to ask me that for a long time but doesn't have the courage to do so.
"You know the reason, Jaden. I told you that, " I said.
Krystal sighed. "Avoiding Gabriel isn't gonna change what happened, Lia."
"That's in the past, Krystal. I came home, didn't I?" I said.
"Yeah but if it weren't for–"
"Krissa, where are you going?" Jaden said.
Krystal and I looked at where Jaden was looking and we saw Krissa going to another table and bothering the people sitting there. "Krissa, come here, " Krystal said before standing up and walking to where Krissa headed.
"Since Krissa learned to walk, she's been walking here and there. The only way for her to stay put is if Krystal settled her on her lap, " Jaden said and I laughed. "How are you though? After seeing Gabriel again?"
"Do you want me to lie or do you want me to tell the truth?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Only you, Lia, " he said. "Tell me the truth then."
"I am not okay. You know what happened at the diner. I was actually starting to be okay after Bianca's wedding but you know, sh*t happened, " I shrugged.
"What do you mean?"
"We kissed, " I said and his eyes widened.
"You what?!"
"We kissed. He cheated on his girlfriend. I became a side chick for a minute or so. He told me he still loves me. Get it now?"
