"When I got enough confidence, the stage was gone. When I was sure of losing, I won. When I needed people the most, they left me. When I learnt to dry my tears, I found a shoulder to cry on. And when I mastered the art of hating, somebody started loving me." ~William Shakespeare

"I'll see you later, Lianna," Krystal said when we entered the campus.
"Okay. See you later, Krystal," I said before waving at her and watching her leave. I then walked over to my locker to grab some stuff I'll need for class.
"It's not what you think!" someone growled. I looked behind and saw Sandra and Gabriel a few steps away from me and it looks like they were having a heated conversation.
"Then what should I think?!" Gabriel asked. "That it was nothing? That yeah, friends kiss too!""We were in the spur of the moment!" Sandra reasoned.
"That is not a justification for cheating!" Gabriel hissed.
"What about you? You flirt with girls all the time even when we're together and did I stop you? No!" Sandra countered.
"What the hell is happening?" someone asked from behind. I faced the person that spoke and saw Bianca with Khaila also watching Gabriel and Sandra scream at each other.
"You know, Sandra and Gabriel just being Sandra and Gabriel." I shrugged.
"It's so early. Can't they argue later when I'm in the mood?" Khaila said, and I laughed.
And because we love eavesdropping, we just listened to Sandra and Gabriel's bickering after that. Their argument ended when the bell rang and all of us had to go to our respective classes.

"Do you have a study session with Gabriel today?" Krystal asked while we were walking in the school hallway.
I groaned. "Yes, even though I'm so lazy and I just want to go home."
She chuckled. "Then why don't you take a rain check?"
"Can't. We have to finish our literature project soon and Gabriel is getting a bit better at math so we can't stop now," I answered.
"Looks like I'll be going home alone again." She sighed.
"I'm sorry, girl. I'll make it up to you," I said.
"You better," she said, and I nodded. When we reached the exit of our school, we waved goodbye to each other and went our separate ways.
When I entered the ice cream parlor, Gabriel was not in our usual seat. I furrowed my eyebrows because he finishes class earlier, so I don't get why he wasn't there yet.
I just shrugged it off and sat down. I did my homework while waiting for him. I also ordered a strawberry milkshake while I'm at it.
Minutes turned to hours. People come and go but no Gabriel f*cking Winters entered the f*cking door. I've been waiting for almost two hours and so, I have decided to leave.
While walking home, I saw the playground where I always went to when I was a kid. I don't know what came over me, but I had the sudden urge to just visit and sit over there for a while.
When I sat on the swing and started playing with it for a bit, I heard some sniffles from the small playhouse. I thought that maybe it's a kid crying so I immediately went in to comfort him and to my surprise, the person in it is not a little child but someone who is acting like that.
