"Where are the others?" I asked Hope who was busy fixing her things inside her locker.
"I don't know. I'm looking for them too," she answered.
"We have the same class this morning, right?" I asked and she nodded as a response. "Let's walk together then."
"Okay. Let's go," she said, closing her locker.
We started walking to the classroom. I was walking backwards because we were chatting with one another and I want to face her while talking. Weird, I know.
"You know what I miss?" Hope asked and I shook my head as a response. "Sleepover," she said.
My eyes widened. "OMG! I miss having sleepovers too. We should do that this weekend."
"Let's tell the girls later," she said, and I nodded as a response. "What you're doing is really dangerous, you know that, right?" Hope chuckled.
"I know but talking to you this way is so much better."
"Lia, look out!" Hope warned but she was too late because I already slipped on the puddle that I didn't notice because I was walking backwards.
I expected myself to end up falling on my butt, but I was shocked when someone caught me by holding my waist.
"G-Gabriel?" I unconsciously said while looking at Gabriel who is holding my waist and who's face is inches away from mine.
He quickly helped me stand straight. I cleared my throat. "You can go now."
He scoffed. "Yeah, you're welcome, " he said before walking away.
"Are you okay? I told you it was dangerous, " Hope said.
"I'm fine, " I replied.
"Hey, Lia. Don't hate me but for a moment there, the two of you looked cute together, " Hope said before running to our room.
I scoffed and shook my head before following her.

"OMG! Yes! Let's do it," Khaila exclaimed after Hope and I told them about the sleepover. It's currently lunchtime and we're eating in the cafeteria.
"But which house are we staying on?" Stella asked.
"Not it," I quickly answered. Khaila, Hope, Tori, and Stella followed soon after.
"Dude, why is my house always the venue of our sleepovers?!" Bianca asked.
"Maybe because you're the richest and your house is a mansion, " Tori answered.
"I'm not rich. What the hell are y'all saying?" Bianca complained.
"Bianca's house this weekend. Mark your calendars, " Hope said. Bianca sighed and shook her head.
I chuckled at Bianca's expression before excusing myself to get a drink.
I walked over to the counter and ordered an apple juice. The lady quickly handed it to me, and I walked back to our table.
While walking, someone yelled, "Lianna, look out!"
I quickly panicked so I didn't notice the ball rolling to my direction. Due to that f*cking ball, I tripped and was about to fall when someone caught me.
I was about to thank him, but I was taken aback when I realized that it was Gabriel who caught me. Again!
"Really, Tyler?! Second time today. Wow!" he said, helping me stand straight.
"I'll be careful next time. Geez!" I said, dusting myself. I looked around and got easily embarrassed when everyone in the whole damn cafeteria was looking at us.
I quickly walked away and went back to our table. I continued eating, hoping that it would lessen my embarrassment due to what happened a while ago.
I wanted to scold myself for being such a clutz, but I can't really do anything about it now.

"Can't you go any faster?" a familiar voice asked while I was fixing my things. I looked up and rolled my eyes when I saw Gabriel leaning on the door frame.
"Why didn't you just wait for me there?" I asked.
"I was about to but I saw you here so might as well just go together," he answered.
"I don't want to be seen walking out with you." I rolled my eyes.
"Well, too bad."
I quickly finished fixing my things and then walked with Gabriel to the ice cream parlor.
While climbing up the steps of the ice cream parlor, I tripped on one of the steps, making me lose my balance but Gabriel caught my arm, so I didn't kneel to the ground.
He sighed. "I know you're clumsy but today was just too much."
"I don't know what's happening to me too, okay?!"
"Whatever. I don't even know why I keep catching you," he said before continuing to climb up the stairs.
I crossed my arms and glared at him. "A*shole."

"Just answer this and I'll check it tomorrow," I instructed, handing the worksheet I made a while ago. Gabriel just nodded and took it from my hand.
I got up and fixed my things before leaving him there. I was going down the steps when he called me. I stopped and faced him.
"Can we take a rain check tomorrow?" he asked, walking towards me.
"We can't because we have a lot to catch up on and we have to finish our project soon," I answered.
"Come on, Crabby. We both need a break," he whined.
"You mean, you need a break," I said, taking a step down while still facing him. After doing that, there I've realized that it was a stupid idea, but it was too late as I have already lost my balance.
Gabriel was about to run and catch me, but I know he wouldn't make it, so I prepared myself to hit the ground. I was surprised when it didn't happen because a pair of strong arms caught me.
"Be careful, Potato," Jaden said while placing me down on the ground.
"T-thanks, Jaden," I said, embarrassed to look at him directly.
"Hey, dude. You should seriously watch your girlfriend from time to time," Gabriel said.
"Why? What's wrong?" Jaden furrowed his brows.
Gabriel shrugged. "She's really clumsy. Don't want her falling for other people, right?"
