A/N: I am so so sorry I didn't update for the past two days. I was so busy with my stupid homework, and I know what your thinking, homework on a holiday weekend? It's stupid but I have stupid teachers. Anyways this new chapter is for you wonderful people luv yas enjoy.

Chapter 32

Today is clearly going to be an awesome day! I just woke up and I'm actually in a good mood. Let's just hope nothing ruins it.

I went into my closet and got out a blue Harry Potter tank top that said I train for quidditch, my white high waisted shorts with holes in them and my white high top converse.

I went out of my room and saw that Nick was in the kitchen eating. I sat down next to him and poured myself a bowl of cereal knowing that I had some time left.

"Morning!" I exclaimed a little too happy as I poured the milk in.

"Uh...morning?" He said as if he was being cautious.

"Do you need a ride to school?" I asked as I started eating.

"Yeah, are you okay with me riding with you?" He asked looking at me strangely.

"I'm fine with it." I said still sounding happy, I didn't know it but I must have been really hungry because I had already finished my cereal after about five minutes.

"Ready?" I asked Nick as I grabbed my backpack, sunglasses and leather jacket just for luck.

"Yup." He replied happily whilst following me outside the house and towards my car.

We drove to school in a comfortable silence. But when we got there I suddenly remembered.

"Wait don't you have soccer practice today?" I asked looking over at Nick.

"Yeah why what's the ma-oh yeah I forgot your not on the team anymore. Kay, I'm so sorry I should have gotten one of the guys to drive me here." He said looking sorry.

"It's fine, I guess I just have to wait until your practice is over." I said looking away from him as I opened my door.

"Kay I'm so-"

"It's fine, I'm serious, plus I could use a little more time to catch up with everyone." I said assuring him it's okay.

"Are you sure? I can get a ride back home."

"I'm sure." I replied smiling at him.

"Ok." He said getting out of the car also and going inside of the school.

As I was walking into school I noticed a certain group of guys waiting for me. Aww how sweet can they get.

"Hiiillo!" I said happily whilst jumping onto Alec's back in the process.

"Hey." They all greeted as I heard Alec chuckle from my actions.

"So, why did you guys wait for me?" I asked slightly confused.

"Oh, no reason, just being the good friends we always are." Answered Chase as he smiled at me and I smiled back.

"Ok, well off to class we go!" I shouted pointing for Alec to ride me over to my first class.

"Okay." Alec said as he started walking over to the classrooms.

Once we got outside of the classrooms I jumped off of Alec and gave him a hug for my thank you.

I walked into the classroom and went straight to my seat.

"So, why are you all happy today?" Asked Jax as he sat on my right side where he usually does.

"No reason, I just, well I just feel happy today." I said smiling at him.

"Good." He replied as the teacher walked in.

"Hello class, it seems that today is the lockdown drill so be prepared. Also if you do not know what the lockdown drill is about ask your partner." She announced.

"Hey Kay?" I heard Jax say from beside me.

"Yeah?" I said looking over to him one e again.

"What is a lockdown drill?" He asked shyly.

"Oh, its when they turn on the school alarm and we have to pretend that there's an intruder on campus so we like block the doors and try to keep them out of the class."

"So that's it, are you sure?" He asked sounding strange.

"Yeah, I'm sure, don't worry you'll be fine." I assured him.

"One more thing class, today in the gym we will be practicing CPR and other safety things your partner for that will be the one to your right."

"Oh my gosh, this day just keeps coming." I heard Jax mumble from beside me.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked looking at him in concern.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He said grumpily once again.

"Ok, you would tell me if you weren't right?"  I asked hoping not to get him mad.

"Gosh I don't know Kayla just shut the hell up!" He yelled at me making me flinch at how cruel he sounded and making the rest of the class look our way.

I raised my hand and asked if I could get a bathroom pass. The teacher gave it to me and I walked out of the class feeling sad.

I was in the hallway just sitting on the floor against an unknown locker. Why was Jax being so rude? Do I do something? Why did my entire expression just change because of one little thing? Why di-

"Hey, Kayla are you okay?" I heard s familiar voice ask from in front of me. I looked up only to see Tyler looking down at me.

"No, I'm not fine, one second I was happy then the next, I'm sad because Jax was being rude to me." I said as Ty sat down next to me.

"Hey I'm sure he didn't mean it, maybe he's just got a lot on his mind, or maybe he's going through a hard time." He said as he pulled me into a side hug.

"But he don't have to be so rude." I said as I nuzzled my head into Tyler's shoulder.

"Well some people have just had enough that maybe they don't feel like talking about it." He said calmly as he rubbed my arm soothingly. "Or maybe he ju-" he suddenly stoped making me look back up at him.

"What?" I asked confused.

"I think you guys should just talk it out." He said gesturing over to my other side where I saw Jax looking at me.

"I guess so." I said as I he let go of me and got up. I stayed on the ground waiting for Jax to come over and sit next to me. Tyler was now walking back to class and Jax was walking towards me.

"Hey." Was all he could say. Are you kidding me?!

I am so so sorry that I haven't updated. I just want you beauties to know that I luv yas, and also that I'm sorry this chapter was short. In the next chapter you will know what happens during Jax and Kayla's convo. I will try and upgrade again today but I still have stupid homework and I'm sick. I know, life sucks. But anyways I hope this chapter didn't bore you to death. I think that's all I have to write until latter today, anyways luv yas Byers.
