Kayla Morgan. She's just like any normal, unordinary girl, it's her junior year, but can she make it to her senior year? With her past just a step behind her, and her future crumbling...
"So, why don't we play a game?" He asked pulling away, sadly, and smiling down at me.
"I'd love to, wait that depends, what game is it?" I asked giving him a curious glare.
"Whatever you want, or we can play dancing in the water." He said sounding ridiculous. I caulked
"Okay now, you have to explain this to me." I said giving him a smile.
"Okay. So the point of the game is to come up with a dance move and master it with your partner." He said giving out an excited smile.
"Ok, but just a question, how did you come up with this game?"
"I didn't, me and my sister always play it." He said making me widen my eyes in surprise that he actually does things with his sister.
"Well that's sweet, you play with your sister." I said making him roll his eyes at me.
"Whatever, can we just start already?" He asked getting annoyed.
"Sure, but in going first because I actually know how to dance." I said giving him a teasing smirk as I swam over to him.
"Go ahead, but just so you know, I'm not that bad of a dancer, plus we're in water." He pointed out as I though of some dances we could do. I thought of one and decided to just go on with it because it was the only one I would think of. I chose a simple waltz because it was the easiest.
"Ready?" I asked looking at him.
"Ready as I'll ever be, just start off and I'll figure it out." He said and I just nodded my head and began then he joined.
"This is the easiest dance you could have ever picked." He hockey looking down at me as we waltzed in the pool. After about a minute or two I realized how close we were and pulled a part a little, well I tried to.
He pulled me back and I was now face to face with him, standing on his toes do that I was hovering over him a little and looking down at him.
We just stood there looking into each other's eyes. Kayla. What are you doing, look away, just look away Kayla. I thought to myself.
I just couldn't come to pull away, then he started leaning closer. Ok now, pull away Kayla.
I cleared my throats and said, "Uh... we should... we should, should uh, get dressed before Nick comes back from school." I said turning away and swimming over to the edge of the pool.
"Y-yeah, we should." He agreed getting out after me.
I quickly went up to my room to change. I changed into plain black sweats and my AC/DC crop top.

"Hey so what time does Nick usually get back?" Jax asked when he saw me walking down the stairs. He had already changed back into his clothes from yesterday.
"Usually he'll get back around 4:00 if he doesn't then I guess we could just walk to your house." I said as I sat down on the couch and started to watch tv.
"Ok, so what do we do in the mean time?" He asked sitting down next to me.
"Just what we're doing now, watch a movie?" I asked looking over to him.
"Sure, but I'm gonna pick it." He said as I grabbed the remote and turned on Netflix
"Whatever you want." I said laying on the couch with my head on the arm rest.
1 hour latter
"Ok Nick just texted me saying hat he'd be here in five minutes." I told Jax as I got up from the couch and pulled him with me.
"Ok, so?" He said giving attitude, oh hell no.
"So. You have to hide, I mean we both didn't go to school and nobody knows why. What do you think they suspect?" He didn't say anything witch answered my question and we both went upstairs and I told him to hide in my bathroom.
"Kay, I'm home!" I heard Nick call from downstairs.
"Stay here." I said to Jax as I headed out of my room and downstairs.
"Hey." I said walking up to him.
"Hey, why weren't you at school today?" He asked giving me a small hug.
"Oh, I just, well since we tell each outer the truth, I just wasn't up for it." I said honestly leaving out the part about Jax.
"Ok. Just don't do it again." He said heading into the kitchen.
"Ok, well I kinda wanted to go to the store so I'm just gonna borrow the car okay?" I said heading back upstairs to get Jax.
"K, I'll be in my room when you come back." He said filling behind me back upstairs.
I saw Jax peaking his head into the hallway near us. I quickly ran to my room shoved his head back in and closed the door.
"You idiot, you could have been seen, it told you to stay in the bathroom!" I whisper shouted as I looked at him he just had an amused smirk on his face.
"Well I wasn't seen so can we go now?" He asked annoyingly.
"Yeah, fine." I said opening the door and making sure Nick couldn't see us. Once I saw that it was clear we went downstairs and I grabbed the keys off of the counter and we went outside and into the car.
5 minutes latter
"And right, here." Jax said pointing over to his house. I gotta say it his house was huge. I wonder why he complains so much? Maybe it's just because he doesn't get to see his parents as much as he would like to, kind of like me and Nick.
"Ok. Well... bye I guess." I said turning my head to look at him only to see him already looking at me.
"Yeah, bye." He replied chuckling at how strange I was. He began to get out of the car until I stopped him by tugging at his arm.
"Wait." I said making him look back at me.
"Awe what happened? Miss me already?" He said cockily.
"Ok fine, be that way, I was actually going to tell you that I had a great time today, and that maybe we could be close friends. But since your ego is so big maybe I'll just continue to be annoyed by you." I said bitterly reaching for the handle of the door on his side closing it and starting the car up again.
"Chipmunk wait." He said as I looked ahead of me.
"Don't call me that." I spat out being annoyed again. I hear a little bit of silence before he came to my side of the car and opened my door.
"I'm sorry, I just, I just don't know how to show when I have a great time. But I did, and I'm glad you did too." He said sincerely giving me a hug. It took me a while but I hugged back and when it ended I felt... sad.
"Ok, well I guess now it actually is bye." I chuckled.
"Yeah guess so." He agreed closing my door and going back to the front of his house. He waved bye and so did I.
I guess today wasn't so bad.
When I got back home I talked to Nick and then went to my room.
I silently fell asleep while reading my favorite Harry Potter book.
