Chapter 73"I can't find him. Where is he?" I asked Chase. He looked at me as if I were crazy, and to be honest I probably did look crazy. After school and during school I looked all over for the one person I had been wanting to talk to all day, Jax. But I couldn't find him anywhere. It's like he disappeared. How could he be there in the morning and in all of my classes with him, but still manage to find a way to avoid me??
"What happened to you?" He was probably wondering that because I looked like I had been hit with a bucket of rocks. My hair was all over the place, making me look like that girl that climbs out of tv's in movies, and my jacket was only on me half way, which I don't even know how that happened. It's 3:33, so I've been running all over school for about 33 minutes now since school ended. I wanted to just fall limply on the ground because my legs were so tired.
Nick turned towards me as he was talking to our friends. "You look like you came out of a trash can." Well how sweet is he. Note the sarcasm.
"Thanks "older brother" you're so sweet." I glared at him and he took a small step back.
"What happened?" Chase asked again.
"I honestly don't know, one moment I was looking for Jax then the next I was on the floor, now here I am. Help me." I whined.
"Angie, come fix this!" Chase called out behind him.
Angie turned towards us, her eyes widening once she reached me.
"Is it that bad?" I asked.
She chuckled, "You look like a family of birds made a nest in your hair. Come here I'll fix you up." She took me to the girls bathroom and placed me in front of a mirror. She pulled leaves out of my hair and brought a brush out of her backpack.
"You have everything in there don't you?" I asked laughing as she also brought out a beanie- my beanie - and put it on my head. "Thanks I said once she had finished with whatever else was wrong.
"No problem; what else are best friends for? Oh and take this off." She motioned to me leather jacket and I slipped it off only for her to stuff it in my backpack for me.
"Have you seen Jax today?" I asked her hoping she might know something about his whereabouts.
"I saw him when school ended, he's in my seventh period so I saw him leave class, he was walking pretty fast if you ask me, but I only saw him leave. Why?"
"I need to talk to him. And I can't do that if I have no idea where he is." I said picking up my bag as we made our way out of the bathroom.
"Just go to his house or have Blake give you a ride there. He should be there seeing as that's where he lives." We had gotten back to our friends and said our goodbyes as everyone began to leave.
