Chapter 49

"Thanks for the ride." I said waving goodbye to Alec as he drove off.

I watched as the car got smaller and smaller by the distance until it finally turned the corner I began walking up the front steps of my house. As I walked in I already knew that Nick was here, there were clothes all over the place and don't get me started on how many leftovers you could see on the table.

"Nick! I'm home!" I shouted, my voice echoing through our huge house.

"Kayla?! What the hell! I haven't seen you since the other day! Where were you?" He asked coming down the stairs and giving me a big hug when he reached me.

"I was at Em's house yesterday and well we kinda just skipped part of the school day yesterday, so that's probably why you haven't seen me. Oh yeah, like says hi." I replied happily.

"Okay, so are you okay?" He asked still sounding like he was worried.

"Nick I'm fine." I replied chuckling at the way he was acting. I know I seem happy, but that's just because this is Nick, Nick always makes me happy.

"Okay, just making sure." He said going back up to his room.

The rest of the day was basically just me finishing homework and then I went to sleep peacefully.

"Wake up! Wake up!" I heard someone shout as they shook me awake.

"Go. Away!" I mumbled trying to sleep once again.

"No, get your ass up!" The person said once again making me open my eyes and realizing that it was Nick.

"Ok, fine, get off of me fatty." I said pushing him off of me.

"Okay calm down, just get ready and I'll drive us to school." He said walking out of my room.

"Ugh. Why did I have to have such an annoying brother?" I asked myself getting out of bed.

I went into my closet and took out some clothes, I went into my bathroom and took a quick shower, I put on a simple pair of maroon jeans, my white pineapple shirt, black converse and my leather jacket.

"Nick! I'm ready!" I said walking out of my room and going down stairs. I went into he kitchen and quickly grabbed some orange juice and a granola bar.

"Okay let's go." Nick said getting down stairs surprisingly ready, I quickly grabbed my backpack and we went out the door.

Time skip to when they get to school.

"Hey, so do you have soccer practice today?" I asked looking at Nick as he parked in the school parking lot.

"Ohh, yeah, I do, do you mind waiting after school?" He asked in a sorry tone.

"Sure, I'll wait, but I'll be library." I said opening my door.

"Hey?" He asked stoping me.

"Yeah?"

"What's going on with you and Jax?" He asked making me raise an eyebrow.
