Chapter 58
Today was finally a good day. How did I know that? Because it's the day where you get to see cute couples all around school and adorable ways of giving gifts from couple to couple. It's one of the things I wish I had. But since Aaron hasn't made anything official yet I think I'm going to end up having to ask him
But other than today being Valentine's Day then I have nothing to do. Zero, zilch, nada, never.
Unless you count going home after school and having a movie night with Angie and chase, Aaron still hasn't done anything declaring that he wants to do something for today. I guess he doesn't want to make things official. Or maybe he just doesn't see me that way. You know other than the fact that we talk everyday and do what every normal couple would do. It's like he doesn't even see that I like him in that way, or that he doesn't even like me that way.
I don't know, maybe I'm just delusional, maybe he doesn't like me and I just think he does.
"What's up buttercup?" I heard a familiar voice say from behind me as two arms came and hugged me.
"Hey. And again, don't call me that." I chuckled but returned the embrace.
"So where's your boyfriend at?" Blake asked as me put his arm around my shoulder. For the past few weeks I've gotten to know more about Blake and Jax, I'm just glad that the little incident involving that monster I call a father hasn't been brought up.
"I haven't seen him yet, I don't think he's here yet." I said as I continued searching the halls for Aaron. "And he's not my boyfriend, at least he hasn't said anything about that yet." I clarified.
"Trust me, he'll ask you to be his girlfriend one day, he likes you, I can tell." Blake said looking down at me with a small smile. "And so can everyone else." He assured.
"Thanks, but I wouldn't be too sure of it, it's Valentine's Day and here I am, alone, looking for him." I pointed out.
"Well kid, just wait, he'll come around."
"Thanks." I smiled giving him a quick hug then walking in to my morning class.
"Sup." Said Chase sitting next to me.
"Hey." I responded as Jax and Angie walked into the room.
"Hey." They said in unison.
I chuckled then greeted them back. I had so many things on my mind.
I was thinking about everything, school, Aaron, him, and of course what's going to happen between my friends and family.
And now it's Valentine's Day, I have nothing planed so I'm probably going to just go home and get into something comfy as Netflix plays on my tv.
"Hey, are you okay?" Asked Chase as he nudged my arm to get my attention.
"Huh- oh, yeah, just have some things on my mind."
"Ok." He said probably noticing that I didn't want to talk about it.
"You don't seem ok." Jax whispered making me roll my eyes.
"I'm fine."
"Sure." He grunted clearly annoyed with me even though I did nothing.
I obviously ignored him for the rest of the period, Chase too.

It's now fourth period and still there is no sign of Aaron. It's like he's ignoring me, I have no idea why but honestly it's fine. I just thought he wanted something to happen between us, I guess not.

It's after school and around 7:00 pm and I still haven't heard anything from Aaron, I'm starting to get worried, what if something happened to him, what if he gets shot again.
What if something worse happened to him.
"Hey bugger, what you doin'?" Asked Nick walking in to my room. It hurt me to see him like this. He had a broken arm and a bruised face from the fight. And Luke got a broken nose.
"I'm fine. How are you doing?" I asked as he sat next to me on my bed.
"I'm better."
"Good." I smiled then after a few minutes of talking we began to hear music from outside.
"What the hell? Is someone throwing a party?" Asked Nick as he got up to look out the window. "Oh, Kayla, you're gonna want to see this." He smirked.
"Uhm, ok." I got up then went to my window. I smiled seeing there was a stereo in the middle of my front yard, with roses around it. I went out of my room and went outside, i walked down the front steps of my house swing more roses leading me to the sidewalk. More roses spelled out WILL, then a little further YOU, I walked further down following the trail of roses as I walked to the next word BE, further on MY. That's where it ended I looked up seeing nothing, my smile faded as I turned around I came face to face with a smiling Aaron.
"Girlfriend?" He asked finishing the sentence I had followed down the sidewalk.
"Y-you, wait, huh?" I was not confused, just shocked.
"Will you be my-" He began.
"YES!" I shouted jumping up and giving him a bear hug. I couldn't stop smiling. I wrapped my legs around his torso then realized that he was holding roses.
"So you finally worked up the courage to ask her huh? Well it only took you three months." Said nick as he came gave that weird bro hug to Aaron.
"Yup, but I'm glad I finally asked." Said Aaron looking over to me smiling.
"Good, and I'm gonna have a talk with you later but right now, you guys should have some time to yourselves." Nick then went back into the house as me and Aaron continued our hug. I gave him a kiss as he set me down and we walked back down the sidewalk.
"So how long did it take you to do this?" I asked jokingly.
"All day, but it was worth it, most of the day was spent finding enough roses, then I planned something else, and then I had to spell all of this out when you came back from school. And now here we are." He chuckled making me rethink on what he just said.
"Wait-you planned something else? What's that?" I asked getting even more excited than I already was.
He smiled giving me that adorable smirk of his.
"You'll find out, later." He said making me roll my eyes. "Don't get all attitude with me, at least I did something." He said as I gained my smile back and gave him another hug, yet this time I gave him a kiss too.
"Thank you." I whispered.
