Chapter 46

It took at least ten minutes to get to Em's house. As we got out of the car I could already tell that Luke was here, well, it doesn't matter, as long as it's not the guys. I seriously need space right now, I know I'm probably mad for no reason but I just, ugh, it's like everyone is mad at me, first Aaron, now Chase. The one thing I know for sure is that I'm seriously mad at Jax right now. What the hell did he think he was doing when he tried making me talk to Chase?! It was none of his business.

"Kayla, hello?" Em said waving her hand in front of my face snapping me out of my array of thoughts.

"Y-yeah?" I stuttered looking at her with an empty facial expression.

"You okay?" She asked sincerely.

I shook my head saying no. She knew exactly how to comfort me so she immediately pulled me into a hug.

"Oh sweetie, what happened?" She asked pulling away from the hug.

"Can we just, can we just talk about it later, I need to think first." I said as I felt tears stinging my eyes but I didn't want to show that I was weak so I blinked them away.

"Ok, come on, lets go in and we could have some girl time with Angie and hand out with my weird brother." She said jokingly.

Luke was of course her older brother, but over the years it's felt as if he was my brother too, I've always liked talking to him, and he would always talk to me when Nick wasn't there.

We walked to the front steps of the house, I wasn't sure if Em's parents would be home, they're in the same business as my parents but at least they come home. My parents... I don't know where they are.

"Hey- oh, what's this wonderful person doing here?" Asked Luke as he opened the door and enveloped me in a bone crushing bear hug, I immediately returned the embrace.

"Hey bro." I said as we pulled apart.

"Hey, it's been a while." He said shoving his hands in the pockets of his pants.

"Yeah, it has been." I said smiling up at him.

"Anyways, we kinda gotta help her out, emotionally." Said Angie as she walked in pulling me with her as she headed towards the stairs.

"Well, need any help?" Asked Luke as he followed us up to Em's room.

"Sure, get me the ice cream and make some popcorn." Em said pulling me to her bed and shooing Luke away.

"Tell me, what happened?" She said seriously.

"Do I have to?" I asked.

"Yes." Em and Angie said in unison as Angie sat next to her on the bed.

"Well, it started yesterday, when I was having my girl day with Angie, then Aaron called and asked to pick him up, when I went to go get him, he- he was covered in- in blood." I said as they gasped dramatically.

"And, when I brought him to my house I cleaned him up, and while I was cleaning him up the guys were in the other room with some girls that looked all skanky, then Jax came in the room Aaron and I were in with his hookup, after that I told Aaron that I was putting this stupid disinfecting spray where he was injured and he said that he could take it, then I may have accidentally muttered something and he got mad then left right after I cleaned him up, now today-"
