Chapter 50
Jax's P.O.V
"Kayla! Wait! Don't leave, just let me talk to you!" I pleaded as she walked away from me.
I finally found Kayla after looking for what felt like twenty minutes. Now she's running away from me!hod Kayla, please just make this easy.
"Kay, please!" I yelled after her as I was beginning to catch up with her.
She hasn't talked to me yet, I feel so bad. I shouldn't have pressured her into talking to me, it was all Chase's idea. Now look what I have to do.
"Kayla. Let me talk to you!" I pleaded finally getting ahold of her. I quickly wrapped my arms around her torso stopping her from going anywhere.
"Let. Go. Of. Me." She said sternly not yelling but making it clear that she was angry.
"Just. Please, let me talk to you." I whispered.
It was then that I realized this whole situation has gone too far. She was in my arms as she fell to the ground along with me, she was on her knees and began balling her eyes out, this is the second time I've seen her cry and all I can say is that didn't leave a very good feeling inside of me, why? I don't know. But all I do know, is that I can't just leave her here. I wrapped my arms around her even more as I pulled her in for a hug. It was strange, but she hugged back.
"It's okay, your fine." I whispered gently stroking her hair.
"I-I" she stuttered stopping herself from talking when she began crying again.
"Shhh, it's fine, let me talk..." she lightly nodded my head and so I continued. "I'm sorry. Kayla, I'm so, so sorry." I said looking down at her. She looked so hurt right now I wish I could do more for her.
"I n-need to tell you s-something." She stuttered looking up at me with tear stained eyes.
"Of course, what is it?" I asked getting curious.
"Not here." She said with a serious look on her face.
I nodded and got up, I helped her up and could see that she sill had tears in her eyes.
"Hey, don't cry, you don't have to, your okay." I assured her while pulling her in for yet another warm embrace.
"I-" I stopped her noticing that she looked like she was about to cry again.
"Shhh. You don't have to explain right now, it's okay, just say whatever you need to say when your ready."
She nodded and continued hugging me.
"Hey, are you okay?" I asked getting concerned at how much she's been crying.
"I'm fine, I just, I need to tell you, I need to tell you why I acted that way."
