Mike's POV
Hindi ko alam kung gaano na ba ako katagal nakatingin sa kulay pink na rosas na nasa harapan ko. Gusto ko sanang bilhin para kay Kim dahil paborito niya itong bulaklak. Kim loves pink at kahit pa 'yung pusang may ribbon sa ulo na Hello Kitty ang tawag ay paborito niya rin. Stuffed toys are also her weakness kaya naman napagkakamalang bata eh. Napangiti ako sa naisip ko. Yes, she will always be my Baby Boo.
"I'm done! Oh.. Wanna buy those roses? May pagbibigyan ka ba?" Napalingon ako sa nagsalita and saw Zoey holding a bouquet of white lilies she bought. Ngiting ngiti siya na kanina ko pa napapansin. Maybe today is a good day for her and that's new kasi parang palagi siyang may problema tuwing magkikita kami.
Yes, nagkikita kami but only when she needed a companion. Lately kasi parang andami nyang iniisip and so I always agree in meeting up with her. We're friends now and that's what friends do. Besides, she has no other friends here but me, sabi niya, aside from her best friend. Pero ayaw niya daw mag-alala pa ito kaya ako ang tinatawagan niya minsan dahil handa naman akong makinig sa kanya. Wala rin naman akong ginagawa so pumapayag ako.
Like now.. Gusto niyang bisitahin ang puntod ng mama niya, her real mom. He called me earlier para magpasama at nagmadali nga ako dahil mukhang umiiyak siya. She might be missing her mom. I know the pain. Nawala na rin ang lolo ko and we're close kaya alam ko ang sakit ng mawalan.
Ngumiti ako sa kanya.
"I'm thinking of giving a bouquet to my girlfriend. She loves these flowers." Her smile faded but then she immediately smiled again.
"Oh you have girlfriend na pala? Wow I didn't know. So who is this lucky girl?" I smiled wider.
"Her name's Kim.. We've been friends since we were kids and.. Eventually our friendship turned to something deeper." Something na hindi ko namalayan. And when I realized it, hulog na hulog na 'ko. I even comtemplated if I will tell her or not dahil paano nalang kung hindi pareho ang nararamdaman niya para sa'kin?
But fate has her ways. And she loves me back so here I am living in my happy ever after with my Baby Boo.
"Wow, that smile. Nakakabulag naman, Mike." She chuckled. "You must really love her." She smiled dreamily. May nakita akong emosyong dumaan sa mga mata niya pero agad siyang nag-iwas ng tingin.
"Well, this is what love does. If I may ask.. Have you been in-love before as well Zoey?" Tumingin ulit siya saakin pero 'di tulad ng kanina ay blangko na ang kanyang mukha. It's void of any emotion. I don't know anything about Zoey. Wala akong alam sa personal life niya aside from her brother and anything business related kay naitanong ko ito.
"Yeah. But unfortunately to the wrong person. Nakakagago rin ang pag-ibig eh." She sighed. "It feels like heaven. But hurts like hell. Lalo na kung ang taong mahal mo ay hindi naman pareho ang nararamdaman para sa'yo."
