                          Alex got the idea of his project "Marble Hornets" while he was drunk.
                          He goofed around with Jay and joked with him about the most stupid things, that they all needed to be put in one single movie. 
                          Some of them only became insiders, though,which he still implied later in the movie. Because the project was for his class his teacher wouldn't allow him to make something "that stupid."
                          That's how the loop of unhappiness was born by the way.
