I got this idea by reading 10ToTheArk01's chapter about (guess what!) the ark.

Okay, to start.
In my belief, the ark is an actual place. (there are multiple theories that say that it means (to put it simple) death. Be it made up by Brian or in general.)

It's something like a parallel version of our world, but without humans, or if with just a few. So there might be a bit of forest in this world. (less humans = not so many dudes to build whole cities) It could be the home of other things like the Rake or something.
And you now that "candle universe" from EverymanHYBRID? I like to think that there is a connection.

Some forests are full of corpses, brought there by different beings like The Operator. Rosswood, for example, though not as extreme.

You only can be brought there.
No rabbit hole to Wonderland.
