It was early in the morning, the whole household was asleep.
Well. The majority was.Loud noises could be heard downstairs that woke Jessica up. Thinking it was probably a housebreaker, she left the girl's story as quietly as possible and went to the boys'. Knocking on everybody's door, Alex, Seth, Tim and Brian stood in the hallway soon.
"Hey, what's going on?", Seth asked quietly. Jessica shushed him and hinted them to be silent and listen. Again, running could be heard and.. Giggling? "The hell?", Tim whispered, "A housebreaker?"
Alex growled: "Ohh, that bitch's gonna regret it.", went into his room and returned with a baseball bat. Brian quickly, but silently, walked into his room as well and came back with a metal pipe.
"Good. Alex, Brian, you're the first ones to walk in. Tim, you follow them, Jessica, you're staying behind me, got it?", Seth commanded. Everybody nodded, even Alex. They went quietly downstairs, Brian being the first one with his metal pipe, and then into the living room, ready to beat up whoever broke into their house, when they saw the little boy that was jumping on the couch.
Brian dropped his pipe out of surprise and the boy noticed them, stopping to in his actions. They all just stared at each other.
"Good morning!", the little boy suddenly squeaked and ran towards Jessica, hugging her legs. He was barely reaching her hips, so he was maybe four years old? She didn't know.
"Who are you?", Alex asked, voice calm. The boy wore a red shirt and a pair of sweat pants, both way too huge for the little one and also very familiar looking to Alex and the others.
The little boy let go of Jessica's legs, but still remained next to her. Smiling, he answered: "My name is Jay! And who are you?"
Everyone fell silent.
"Are you kidding?", Tim asked angrily, glaring at the boy. Said boy winced and hid behind Jessica's legs. "N-No!", he cried out. But then, as if he remembered something, he searched for something in the bags of his pants. "B-But, my friend asked me t-to give this to you..", he said, taking out a piece of paper and shyly giving it to Tim.
Tim unfolded the paper cautiously, startling when he saw the drawing. On it were two stick figures, one taller than the other. The taller one wore a red top and grey pants, just like the smaller one, but it had some kind of green/brown hat on and held a.. a camera? in his hand.
In between the two figures was the Operator sign.Brian, who stood next to Tim, looked over his shoulder to see the drawing too. "Fucker.", he whispered and took the piece of paper out of Tim's hands, showing it to the others.
"Do you like it? I drew it.", Jay stated proudly, smiling a tiny smile. Brian smiled back at him, crouching down to the boy: "Yes, Jay, I love it! Whose idea was it to draw that? Yours? Because it's amazing!"
Jay shook his head, a bit sad. "Noo! It was my friend's idea.. You know, he's soooo tall!", he said, lifting his hand up as high as he could.
Everyone gulped."You want me to draw something for you, too?", Jay asked shyly, tugging on the brim of Brian's shirt. Brian stood up, smiling down at Jay once more and said: "I'd love that! Oh, and by the way, I'm Brian. That's Jessica, Alex, uncle Seth and you see that big teddy bear there? That's Tim.", Brian crouched a bit down again, whispering into Jay's ear so that still everybody could hear him: "His piggyrides are the best!"
Jay's eyes shone brightly at that. "Reaaally?", "Yep!", Brian grinned. Jay immediately ran to Tim. "Take me up, pleeease?"Tim sighed at that. At first he wanted to refuse, but when he saw how happy Jay looked up at him (and how angry Brian glared at him), he couldn't resist. "Okay.", he said kneeing down, "C'mon, buddy."
Jay squeaked happily at this and climbed up Tim's back. He laughed when Tim finally stood. "Wheeeeeeh!"
Tim ran around a bit, jumped sometimes or acted like he'd throw Jay down, who was laughing and giggling non-stop. Meanwhile Seth, Jessica and Brian went to the kitchen to make some breakfast while Alex went back to sleep.
When Sarah and Amy came down later they quickly explained to them what they think probably happened.
