Saturday rolled in way too quickly, as I glanced at my reflecting through the mirror. A crimson red, long sleeve flannel shirt, with a plain, black t-shirt underneath. Black jeans; not too baggy, yet not too tight. A pair of black vans, with worn out grey laces.

I took a deep breath, as I shoved my hand into my pockets. My eyes made their way to the floor, as I bounced nervously upon my heels.

"Is this a little to," I paused, as I turned to face my mother, who sat at my computer desk, snooping through my sports and gaming magazines. "dressy for dinner?" I asked, as I held my arms out, as I showed off my outfit.

Mother looked up from the flimsy magazine, as she eyed my appearance, before a wide smile crept upon her face.

"Oh, Sam! You're such a girl." My mother laughed, as she tossed the magazine aside.

I crossed my arms over my chest, as I narrowed my eyebrows. "Oh really?" I shouted, sarcastically, as I snickered at her comment.

Mother stood up from her seat, as she walked towards me. "You look fine, sweetie. I think it's perfect." She explained, as she began to fix my flannel collar for me.

I let out a small sigh, as I returned my attention towards my shoes. "I just don't understand why my anxiety is so high right now." I admit, as I let my arms fall to my side.

Mother flashed a warming smile, as placed her fingers underneath my chin, pushing my head up to meet her eyes. "Are you nervous to see her parents after they caught you guys nearly in the act?" She asked, as her tone grew serious.

After leaving Rachel's house that day, William called my parents, as he explained the situation to them. As soon as I walked through the door, I was faced with the faces of disapproval from both mother and father. They sat me down at the kitchen table, and had a long talk with me.

"Just because you're dating someone of the same sex, doesn't mean you can go mess around with her behind parental guidance! Shame on you!" Mother spoke sternly, as she shook her head in disbelief.

I can still hear the rest of the lecture my parents have given me that day, however if I sat here and told you every detail that was said, I could make a 300 page book out of it, and sell it.

My eyes locked onto my mother's, as I shook my head furiously at her comment. "No!" I nearly shouted. "I mean- I don't know!" I groaned in confusion. "So much has happened, and it's all my fault." I explained.

Mother shook her head, as she placed both of her hands upon my shoulders. "You're so hard on yourself." She told, as her serious tone fell. "It's not your fault. Yes, you've made a mistake, but what human being doesn't make them?" Mother paused, as she let out a short laugh. "I still make mistakes. When I make them, I learn from them, and I know you can too." She comforts me, as she pulls me into her embrace.

I laid my forehead upon her shoulder, as I let out a shaky breath. "You're right." I mumbled. "You're absolutely right."

Our hug was released, as she backed up a bit. "Everything will be just fine. I  promise." Mother swears.

I nodded, as I shoved my hands back inside the pockets of my jeans. I shook my head, as I placed my eyes upon the floor.

"Is there something else bugging you?" Mothers voice beamed with concern. "I hate to see you so upset. It breaks my heart, Sam."

I let out a small sigh, as I slowly dragged myself towards my bed, where I plopped onto the soft mattress without any hesitation. I held onto my pillow, as I snuggled half of my face into it, while staring forward at the headboard.
