As soon as I changed out of my drenched clothing, I made my way to the kitchen. The smell of salmon, rice and green beans danced around the room, as I almost drooled. There is nothing I love more than moms cooking. I took a seat next to Rachel, as we all began to eat our meals.

Regardless of the silverware hitting up against the glass plates, the room was really quiet, Which for some odd reason, it felt awkward.

"So, Rachel." My mom beamed, as she broke the silence. "Have you picked out your homecoming dress yet?"

Rachel nodded as she swallowed the salmon down. "I have, its two different shades of pink though." She told.

"If you don't mind, but I would like a picture of your dress, so Sam can match with you." My mom suggested with a smile.

"Alright, sounds good." Rachel says, as mom handed Rachel her phone, and began to type in her number.

"Your dress will be a secret for Sam till homecoming night." My mom winked as she laughed lightly.

Rachel nodded and laughed back. "That's right, Sam. You're forbidden to see what my dress looks like till then." Rachel said with a wink.

"Alright, alright." I chuckled as I took a bite out of my fish.

The room fell silent for a second, before dad started to speak.

"While we're downstairs, Rachel and your mother could spend some time together, get to know each other. What do you say?" He asked.

As I was about to protest, Rachel and my mom smiled brightly at eachother.

"That sounds lovely! I get to show Rachel baby pictures!" She laughed.

I gasped. "Mom! No!" I shouted as my cheeks turned into a shade of red.

I wasn't worried about the embarrassment I was going to recieve, I was worried about being exposed and Rachel finding out the truth.

"Don't worry, sweetie, I won't show your cute butt back then." My mom responded, as she stood up, placing her plate in the sink and walking into the living room.

Rachel and I looked at each other as she smiled. "You're adorable when you're embarrassed." She giggled.

"Oh hush." I mumbled, as I looked the other direction.

Rachel then stood up, as she places her plate in the sink as well. She then walked over to me, as he placed her hands on top of mine. I looked up at her to meet her gaze, as she suddenly leaned forward, planting her lips upon mine. The kiss electrified throughout my body, as I gave in and kissed her back.

After what felt like forever, she pulls away as she walks away into the living room, not keeping her eyes off me till she disappeared. I sat there speechless for a moment, until I heard slow clapping. Noah was in the room the entire time, and I believe dad left to the basement awhile ago.

"You're lucky, I don't think I can kiss someone for that long without them vomiting." Noah stated with a laugh.

"News flash, brush your teeth." I chuckled, as I got up, placed my plate into the sink, and made my way towards the basement.
