"Catch me if you can!" A high pitch voice giggled in the distance, as the owner of such voice took off running through the large, empty field.

I responded with a single nod, as I ran after the other girls contagious giggles. She knew she couldn't run fast, for I, was the faster runner in our group. I ran faster and faster; as fast as my little legs could carry.

As I ran, I approached a little girl, who stood there waiting for me, with her big, toothless smile. She had long, beautiful, blonde hair, that almost past her waist. Dark brown eyes that almost looked pitch black from the shade. Her yellow, sunflower summer dress complimented her well; I was always so jealous that she could fit into dresses better than me. Her shoes, that were once her favorite black strap on heals, were replaced with white, dirty sneakers, with pink laces.

Compared to what she was wearing, my outfit was a bit different. My brown hair was pulled back in a tight pony tail, that was braided from the top of my scalp, to the middle of my back. Instead of wearing a dress, I wore a plain, white t shirt, with my favorite dark blue, skirt overalls. I also had a pair of white sneakers, expect they had purple shoe laces, instead of pink.

The girl and I made eye contact, as the smile upon her face grew by the second.

"Took you long enough, slow poke!" The blonde girl teased, as she stuck her tongue out at me.

I crossed my arms over my chest, as I stomped my right foot to the dirt. "If it wasn't for you pushing me back there, I would have beat you, fair and square!" I pouted, as I looked away from her.

Giggles once again escaped from her lips, as she wrapped her around my neck. "I'm sorry. I won't do that again." She swore, as she pulled me into a hug.

I flashed the girl my infamous grin, as I too, wrapped my arms around her, returning her hug back. "You're lucky you're my best friend. Otherwise I would have had to stay mad at you!" I chirped.

We released our hug, as we turned our attention to the massive play scape, that stood talk above us. Our eyes grew in unison, as the smile on our faces grew large with excite.

"Run along, children!" A voice from behind told.

The blonde girl and I spun around, only to see my mother a foot or two away from us.

"Go have fun! We'll be over here!" She added, as her and the girl's mother sat on the bench that sat peacefully underneath the tree we were standing under.

The girl frantically nodded, as she took a hold of my hand, and began to drag me over to the play scape. "Come on, Sammy! Let's go!" She cheered, as we stumbled over towards a set of stairs.

I nodded, as I let the girl drag me to our destination.

"Right behind you, Payton!" I called from behind.

The next day flew by a bit too quickly, as Rachel and I walked hand in hand together. We entered inside a small diner, as we were greeted by the host, who escorted us to our booth that overlooked the busy city of Paradise.

"I thought you were joking around last night." Rachel spoke, as she skimmed the menu that laid in front of her.

I shook my head, as I picked my head up to look at her. "Why would I joke around like that?" I asked, as I sunk into my seat. "That's cruel to even start a joke about." I added.

Rachel shrugged, as she closed her menu quietly. "You're right. That would have been horrible to joke about." She agreed.

We were interrupted by the waitress, who asked if we were ready to order. Rachel and I nodded, as we ordered our food, before giving the kind woman the menus back. Once she walked away, we continued on with our conversation.
