Yes, this is an authors note. I am sorry for all these lousy notes, but I would like to make things clear.
Many of you are commenting that you are confused. Here, I will help you guys and try to make your confusions go away!

From chapters One - Five, Sam has never fantasize or been in a relationship with the same gender. Therefore, she is in denial about her sexuality, until she comes across Rachel on the first day of school. All her life she has fantasized about boys, and thought how handsome and sexy some are. Sam has talked to a few males here and there, but never has she ever been in a relationship before, due to everyone assuming she is a male herself.
When Sam is invited to go to that party with Noah, she runs into Rachel. Rachel is dressed in tight clothing, which makes Sam go a bit crazy, since she's been drinking. The more time she sent with Rachel, the more she has battles with herself, debating if she was straight or not. She explains that she has never felt this way towards anyone, let along a female before.
Once the two shared one last dance, that moment, not only was the alcohol level in their system high enough to do some ridiculous actions, their relationship grew closer, escalating with them kissing at the end.
Once Sam and Noah returned home that night, Sam mumbles "There is a difference between lesbian and bisexual, dude." Before she stumbles to her bedroom.
What I was trying to go from there, is Sam is still in denial if she is really bisexual or not. As the chapters go by, you can tell she has stopped saying how cute other boys are. Sam is still a bit in denial, yet she is starting to accept herself more with being bisexual, (((SPOILERS!))) and later figured out that she has absolutely no interest in men any longer, in which she figures out her true sexual orientation, in the chapters that are currently not available.

In chapter one, Sam states that she is identified as a female, HOWEVER, if she could, she would rather be a male. Sam is a huge tomboy. At times, she'll show a hint of girliness, but it's highly rare.
Before I wrote this book, I honestly wanted to make her transgender, but at the same time, I didn't. So for the time being, Sam is identify as a female. We'll see what happens in the next upcoming chapters, but until then, she is female.
How this book became a thing, was I had a dream where everybody in my city completely misgendered me. Before I chopped my hair off, I absolutely hated my long hair. I would always talk to my mom about having me cut my hair but she wouldn't let me. After I graduated from high school, she told me I was allowed to cut my hair. Can you guys guess what I did? I chopped it all off.
So in my dream, I had really short hair, and I dressed the way I normally do (Baggy clothing). For some reason, everyone in my dream assume that I was a male. Keep in mind, I had no idea why, but that's just how my dream went. Long story short, my house burnt down. My family and I talked about moving to a different city. Our beautiful house that we once loved and lived in, we decided to abandon and put it for sale, once they were finished rebuilding it and move to a different city, which was little ways away. With that, we decided to pack the little we have left and move to a different city.
Once we moved and got the house situated, I attended a different school, and once again was misgendered... But I met a girl name Rachel. (Other details are spoilers and you'll all have to wait on them. LOL!)

I believe that was all the confusions you guys had. If there is anything else you guys are confused about, or if you are still confused about the topics above, please comment below or PM me! I promise I won't be upset. I'm here to write this book for all of you, and I wouldn't be happy with myself if you were confused with my messy writing. :)
Chapter twenty-four is on its way. I might as well give you a sneak peek of what the next chapter is going to be.
Blame Bethany for telling Rachel one of Sam's secrets.
